Infrastructure is quite good. Adequate facilities are available.
Placements: About 10-20% of students get placed in firms like TCS, Aakash Byjus, Federal Bank, Infosys, etc. Around 60% of students continue with higher studies as our course is research-oriented. The research conducted by students prepares them for competitive exams like GATE, NET, and other central government exams.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are decent for the rent. However, there are no extra amenities like laundry or hot water. Basic facilities are available. The hostel fee is INR 2000 per semester, excluding food. For rented facilities near the college, the cost is around INR 3500 per room, excluding food. Hostel fee: INR 4000 per year.

Central University of Tamil Nadu has a beautiful environment.
Placements: Many internship opportunities are provided in the last semester; there is only one industrial visit. In an internship, you have to do 45 and 45 days after 3 years, and you can do an internship on your own Also, projects are made by students at national level. From 7 semester you are eligible to sit in placements and in core branches placement is very good. M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2024

CUTN - A mix of everything.
Placements: From economics, we had only 2 placed from a batch of 28 in Federal Bank with 12 LPA, but off-campus placement was pretty good. Alumni work in banks and companies like EY, etc. Many of them went for research and work as teaching assistants, research officers, etc., in various reputed institutions.
Infrastructure: The college has a total of 8 hostels, of which 3 are for boys, 3 for girls, and the remaining 2 for PhD students. The hostels have washing area facilities, free Wi-Fi, and indoor reading as well as recreation rooms. A common amenities hall is available for games and other celebrations. Currently, there are a total of 3 messes operating.
Faculty: Professors are of great quality, and both young and experienced teachers are available for each subject. Most of them completed their studies from reputable institutions like UoH, JNU, DSE, etc. The course curriculum is up to the mark and updated regularly, but it still needs practical inclusion.

The infrastructure is attractive, and you can feel at home.
Placements: Although the institution provides internship opportunities, most of the students opt for off-campus internships for better stipends. Various departments come up with different types of internships; interested students can reach out to the concerned faculty and start the internships right away.
Infrastructure: The library has a vast collection of books and is accessible every day until 9 PM. We can also utilize the reading room close to the library 24/7. There are ample opportunities to engage in various sports activities like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, badminton, and table tennis on a daily basis. Cultural events and fests are conducted and celebrated based on the occasions. There is a student council run by representatives elected by the students.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is good. There are 70 students in a class on average. The faculty members are approachable and provide both professional and personal support to the students. In my course, the exams are held yearly, while other undergraduate courses have their exams semester-wise. The exams are conducted in offline mode at the examination center allotted by the university.

Madras School of Economics- a newcomer for Bachelor's.
Placements: Placements are not available in the school for the bachelor's, mostly due to the direction taken by the higher authorities involved in the course. They have a more academically inclined approach but encourage the students to look for opportunities elsewhere off campus.
Infrastructure: Rudimentary facilities: WiFi is available but nothing amazing. Usually triple sharing rooms are given out but you might get a twin sharing room as well; triple sharing rooms are bigger in size compared to the twin sharing rooms. The mess food is basic but hygienic—a good mix of North-South palette.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly qualified in the subjects they take up—either Doctorates from IITs, JNU or similar institutes or from abroad. Most of the faculty members are fairly accessible and available. The curriculum is pretty well designed—blenched with practical subjects like Python and MS Excel with traditional subjects. Semester exams depend on the faculties taking the course. Pass percentage varies between 85 and 95%.
