It is still a developing university. It might become a good university in future.
Placements: As it is still a developing university, we have limited placement offers. At present, 1 or 2 companies are conducting interviews on our campus. Last year, 10 students got placed in Anthem Biosciences Private Limited and Syngene International Limited. They offered a basic salary of Rs. 25,000 per month. Few other pharma companies have offered stipends around Rs. 10,000 per month during training, and the salary package will be increased one you are done with your training period. Students of the second year of the Integrated M.Sc course are doing internships during the summer breaks and winter breaks. They mostly get internships from INSA.
Infrastructure: This university was established in 2009. There are enough buildings for all the departments, and new buildings are also under construction. There are two hostels for boys and two hostels for girls with separate mess buildings. All the department buildings are equipped with the required facilities.
Faculty: All the faculty members are PhD graduated and experienced. Our department is also recruiting contract faculty members. The minimum qualification required for faculty members is a PhD. Our course and syllabus are based upon the competitive exams like NET and GATE. But we feel that few topics are not covered in the course of our M.Sc degree.
Other: Every year, our college organises a cultural day, Onam festival, Pongal festival, Ugadi festival grandly in our university. Irrespective of regions, all students come together and take part in the celebrations. We have NCC and NSS units in our university.
