Placements and internships are poor but infrastructure is good.
Placements: Placements in the college are not very good. Mostly NGO companies come to college for placements. Sales and marketing companies don't usually come to our college for placements or internships. This field needs to be improved.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Classes have projectors, new desks, and a clean environment. Wi-Fi is decent. Some areas of the college don't have a Wi-Fi network. Labs are amazing. The canteen is decent. The food quality is also decent. The ground is quite big for sports and other activities.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are good. Most teachers are knowledgeable and try their best to give quality teaching. Semester exams also give a challenge for students to test their learning and knowledge. The pass percentage is quite good and not that many students get essential repeats.
Other: My course is computer applications and economics. The course provides practical skills in technology and computers by teaching coding languages and other skills like data mining and computer architecture. Events and fests are amazing. Fest season feels more enjoyable and lively. Crowd density is high in event and fest seasons but not that much on normal days.

College is good but don't take admission only because of college.
Placements: Placement opportunities in my course are negligible although the college is one of the best at Delhi University. The average salary offered in this course is Rs. 50,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs 15,000 per month. The highest salary offered is Rs 1,00,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are mainly the production factories of various food brands and chemical brands. One of the companies is Parle-G. Companies which are in Delhi NCR, mainly provide internships. The percentage of internship is 40-50%.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Hansraj College is very good compared to many other DU colleges. The building of this department is also very good. Labs are good. Classrooms are large and good. There is no Wi-Fi in classrooms and college. The infrastructure of the library is very good. It provides all types of books. Wi-Fi connection is only in the library. The hostel is not so good and prices are so high. The same goes for the college canteen. There are no medical facilities. Sports and games are good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Exams are very well-conducted. Teachers are very helpful and experienced. This curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very difficult. The pass percentage is 33%. Faculty members do experiments. They have patience. The syllabus of semester exams is very large. We have to skip topics to cover the whole syllabus.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to study physics, chemistry, and maths at the same time. This course provides practical as well as theoretical knowledge. The things that can be improved is to make students aware of the industrial work. Events and fests are good but so much crowd.

College is good in everything except the infrastructure.
Placements: 85 percent of the students are placed in my course. The lowest package, according to my course, is 20000 and the highest is 50,000. Not many but some private companies recruit from here. In my course, the majority of students are preparing for government jobs, so they have no choice but to go to other companies .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are not good. The foods are available in the canteen, which is also good. The seating arrangements are also very good but they are very dirty some times, so we need to make clean place where we are come to eat and have lunch, etc.
Faculty: Teaching is excellent and most classes are running regularly. There is not much doubt in the teachers teachings. The professors are giving us study material so we are studying with our free minds.
Other: I chose this course because it will be easy to prepare for my future studies and prepare for my goal without any problems. Preparation are running well by this course and by the study material .

Good infrastructure and a clean college campus.
Placements: The placement trends for our course have been promising. Around 60-70% of students secure placements annually with the lowest salary package of 3 LPA - 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is around 10 LPA - 12 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA - 6 LPA. Internship opportunities have been abundant. Overall my college is good.
Infrastructure: The college has modern computer labs with updated software. The library offers a wide variety of books. There is Wi-Fi on campus. We have a seminar hall and a conference room. Our college supports workshops. We have guest lectures and events. The infrastructure ensures a conducive environment for learning and growth.
Faculty: Exams follow Delhi University guidelines. It includes internal assessments, projects, presentations, and end-semester exams. Practical exams and viva sessions ensure technical and conceptual understanding, fostering comprehensive learning and career readiness.
Other: Computer application is a new hype and I have an interest in CS. The thing I would like to improve is more curriculum activities in class.

Bachelor of commerce (B.Com.Hons.) - Batch of 2026
Offered by Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi

4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
My experience at Kirori Mal College, DU.
Placements: Every year, around 60-70% of students get placed in recruitment and it fluctuates every year. The highest salary package offered is around 20 LPA - 22 LPA. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, Deloitte India, DE Shaw, EY, PWC, and many more. Students get placed in diverse profiles like finance, marketing, HR, data analyst, research & strategy, etc. The placement cell organises internship fairs every year in which over 60 companies take part and provide many opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent. Our classrooms, labs, and a library have enough space. The main auditorium is under construction but we have an academic auditorium and a seminar hall for small events but it can't accommodate many students. Wi-Fi is not that good. The hostel is only for boys. The canteen food is good and affordable. Two canteens are there. One is the main college canteen and one is a hostel canteen which is open to everyone. The gym facility is open to everyone. Medical facilities are also available. Badminton, volleyball, and boxing courts are available. The sports ground is big enough for football and cricket kind of sports. The basketball court is under construction.
Faculty: The teaching faculty members are very nice. Professors are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful. The course curriculum is very in-depth which is good for theoretical knowledge. To be industry-ready, one has to acquire practical and technical knowledge which can be done apart from classes. Semester exams are moderate in terms of difficulty. It checks the conceptual knowledge of students. One has to pass both internal and theory examinations to pass the subject.
Other: This course provides a deep understanding of subjects like accounting, statistics, business law, etc. It provides a solid foundation for CA, CFA, MBA, etc. The college has several societies related to finance, business, economics, and entrepreneurship. It conducts several events, competitions, and fests. Cultural societies are also available for students to polish and showcase their passion for dancing, singing, acting, debating, etc. The student crowd is also amazing, with students from different backgrounds and having different talents. Networking with fellow batchmates gives great exposure. Scholarship is also provided to eligible students.

Yes I am dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: I have generally not heard about placements from my department students who try for IIT JAM and other field jobs. some go for UPSC government exams students come here to do coaching and other curricular activities which develop their personality physically as well as mentally.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is okok not too good mostly washrooms GATE doesnot have latch. Library is fine and canteen requires cleanliness also the classroom are cheated as in summer there in no proper ventilation and fans working, also no edu comp classes held.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you are regular usually students study just for the sake of exams, not seriously and most of the teachers focus on the quick covering of the syllabus In the end students have to study on their own. Stone hardly managed to pass due to their carelessness.
Other: There are a lot of groups in our batch. No fest no alumni, not good crowd students are much involved in politics.

Q:   Can I take admission to DU with 60% in Class 12?

A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).
