Offered by Motilal Nehru College, University of Delhi

Overall, the college stands good, and those who are interested in studying in the college can come.
Placements: The placement cell is not as good as expected but better than many other colleges at Delhi University. This year, the highest package is 38 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package is around 9 Lacs per annum. Placement is better for B.Com (Hons) students. Over 250+ companies were attracted to Motilal Nehru College and provided a lot of job opportunities.
Infrastructure: The facilities are friendly, and teaching is done in a very good way. The library is also good, and the Wi-Fi system was excellent inside it. The Physics and Chemistry labs were good. Classrooms are well-maintained. There is no hostel facility provided by our college. The food provided in the canteen is very good and affordable. The ground is good for playing cricket, football, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable as well. The teaching quality is very good. Most probably, it depends on you, how you give your time for the preparation of the semester exams. If you prepare in a significant way, then it is very easy. Political Science (Honours) is a good course for this generation and those who want to prepare for civil service.
Other: I think I got the best course, Political Science (Honours). If there are some practical visits to society for the students of Political Science (Honours), it would be good. There are a lot of fests and events that happen in our college.

Your introduction to Venky 101.
Placements: While not personally engaging in placement, I have seen that the college provides the highest placement in Delhi University after SRCC. The highest placement that a B.Com honors student got was 31 lacs LPA, which is quite high, and the college, in general, provides good placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is solid, with a rating of 10. There are functional auditoriums, although administrative constraints affect some aspects. Overall, the infrastructure is quite solid, having both old and new blocks. However, the bathrooms could be better in general.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent, very experienced, amiable, and downright helpful and resourceful. The problem itself is that the new subjects under the NEP policy do not have dedicated teachers for them, and pre-existing faculty only teach them. It would be better if new teachers were hired for these subjects.

College is good in everything except the infrastructure.
Placements: 85 percent of the students are placed in my course. The lowest package, according to my course, is 20000 and the highest is 50,000. Not many but some private companies recruit from here. In my course, the majority of students are preparing for government jobs, so they have no choice but to go to other companies .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are not good. The foods are available in the canteen, which is also good. The seating arrangements are also very good but they are very dirty some times, so we need to make clean place where we are come to eat and have lunch, etc.
Faculty: Teaching is excellent and most classes are running regularly. There is not much doubt in the teachers teachings. The professors are giving us study material so we are studying with our free minds.
Other: I chose this course because it will be easy to prepare for my future studies and prepare for my goal without any problems. Preparation are running well by this course and by the study material .

B.A. (Hons.) in Economics - Batch of 2027
Offered by Hindu College, University of Delhi
3.8
4Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
There are some drawbacks but for the most part, being in Hindu College is an enriching experience.
Placements: Hindu has recently been rated as NIRF 1, so the placement rate is quite good. Being a first-year student, I do not have a lot of details regarding this placement season. But it is for sure that the average salary package offered ranges from 8-9 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 23 LPA. One drawback is that not all courses have the same placements. Recruiters prefer students of economics or commerce over other courses, so this data may not be inclusive of all students.
Infrastructure: Hindu is renowned for its infrastructure. It is a beautiful campus with a lot of greenery. It has a very peaceful and serene vibe. Lawns and grounds are well-maintained. The library is one of a kind. It was recently renovated and it has such a beautiful slight. It is spacious and has an aesthetic with all kinds of books and magazines. Classrooms in the old academic block are not that great but still better than many government colleges. The ones in the new academic block are good with air-conditioners and quality benches. Wi-Fi is erratic and does not always work.
Faculty: The teaching faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. Their way of teaching may vary from one teacher to another. All of them are very supportive and cooperative. I would not say that we have the best course curriculum, since all DU colleges have the same syllabus, it is a university-wide problem. Most of the syllabus is outdated and not practical. However, the other opportunities that this college provides make us for the industry part. I have not yet given my semester exams, but I have observed from PYQs that they are moderate and doable.
Other: I chose economics primarily because of the combination of subjectivity and objectivity that this subject has interested me. The future prospects in economics are great. Hindu is renowned for its annual fest Mecca which I am very excited about. The crowd in this college is relatively elite. There are students from varying backgrounds. The connectivity across the North campus is great and I have a lot of friends from other colleges too. As for scholarships, there is one major scholarship based on merit, other than that there are some waivers for students from other categories.

All things are great – campus, faculty, but about placements, can't say anything about what happens.
Placements: I am in my 1st semester, so I don't have much information about it, but from senior information, the average package offered by our college was 4 LPA. Only several students got placements through our college, so the other students started applying for off-campus placements for better packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. The labs are free for all, Wi-Fi connectivity is available, the library is big enough, and classrooms have smart boards, but the teachers don't use them. Our college doesn't provide hostel facilities, so we depend on PGs. The canteen food is also average, with mostly fast food available. All sports facilities are available, like cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are well-qualified, understanding, and supportive, giving 100%. The course curriculum doesn't make us industry-ready; it's only theory-based study, and we have no idea about industry management and all that. The semester is difficult for those who didn’t study a day, and the pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I chose this course to explore company management, including marketing, sales, accounting, and how companies work. I am also preparing for CA, so this course helps a lot.

Yes I am dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: I have generally not heard about placements from my department students who try for IIT JAM and other field jobs. some go for UPSC government exams students come here to do coaching and other curricular activities which develop their personality physically as well as mentally.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is okok not too good mostly washrooms GATE doesnot have latch. Library is fine and canteen requires cleanliness also the classroom are cheated as in summer there in no proper ventilation and fans working, also no edu comp classes held.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you are regular usually students study just for the sake of exams, not seriously and most of the teachers focus on the quick covering of the syllabus In the end students have to study on their own. Stone hardly managed to pass due to their carelessness.
Other: There are a lot of groups in our batch. No fest no alumni, not good crowd students are much involved in politics.

Q:   Can I take admission to DU with 60% in Class 12?

A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).
