But there is a twist: if you choose CE, ME, etc., core branches, you cannot sit in tech placements. However, if you select EE, then you can easily sit in any company placement.

And, as per my knowledge, students of the 5th semester get internships by referrals if they know any coding language.

But a fun fact is that ECE is quite harder than other teaching branches. We have to deal with circuit problems that are complex. And internship-wise, it's safe to get an internship in any teaching company by referrals from teachers. Personally, I got an internship in the 5th semester at Google by a cousin referral.
