IPU BPT Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IPU offers a full-time Bachelor Physiotherapy (BPT) programme for four-and-a-half years. The programme is offered by the University via its two affiliated colleges Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy and ISIC Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences with an annual seat intake of 60 and 50 seats, respectively. IPU offers admission to the BPT programme based on IPU CET*, followed by the seat allotment process via IPU CET Counselling. Students need to pay the course fee amount for admission confirmation. The total tuition fee for the GGSIPU BPT course is INR 3.1 lakh. This fee is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

No, GGSIPU doesn't offer direct admission. IP University does not allow any of the affiliated colleges/institutes/agencies to grant direct admission to any of the courses of the university.
To check the GGSIPU round 1 result, students can reach the official site & apply for the available UG/PG programmes. Below mentioned are the steps to check the IP University result:
1: Reach the IP University Delhi site.
2: Under the ‘Result’ tab, select the respective test from the menu & click on the ‘Examination Result’
3: Go to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Login window & then select the GGSIPU Delhi programme/course & click on it.
4: Save the GGSIPU PDF appearing on the fron screen
A notification regarding the counselling process through CUET is released when vacant seats are left after all rounds of counselling. Based on details mentioned in the IPU brochure, the IPU CUET counselling procedure could be in the following manner:
STEP 1: Counselling Registeration
Candidates have to register (could be online/offline) for counselling. Details such as the aspirant name, programme code and other details have to be provided during registration. The registration fee is INR 1,500.
STEP 2: Login & Enrol
Login with the ID and password generated during registration to fill out the application. The IPU counselling processing fee is INR 1,000, which has to be paid during the enrolment for participation in the counselling procedure after registration. Fill in the details as asked and take a printout of the form and fee receipt. Document verification is carried out in online mode based on information provided by the candidate during enrolment.
STEP 3: Choice Filling/Preference Sheet
The preference sheet is available on the GGSIPU brochure. For online mode, candidates will have to visit the university's official website. It must be noted that the preference sheet is valid for only one counselling round. Hence, for each round, a new preference sheet must be filled out for each counselling round.
STEP 4: Seat Allocation
After choice filling, seats are allotted to the candidates based on merit, respective category and region. Candidates can be asked to freeze the seat by paying a sum of fee.
Most of the GGSIPU course admissions are based on entrance test scores. GGSIPU usually don't provide any scope of direct admission to the students. Students must clear the entrance examinations to get admission to the available programmes.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's annual hostel cost is INR 29,500. Mess and welfare fees are not included in the hostel fees. The fee for the mess is INR 36,000, while the cost of the welfare is INR 3,000. Candidates need to submit three demand drafts: one for hostel fees, one for mess charges, and one for welfare charges. Two hostels are maintained on campus for male students, and two are maintained for female students. There are more than 180 single-seat rooms in each hostel. Basic furnishings such as a cot, mattress, pillow, chair, table, cupboard, tube lamp, and fan are provided in each room. Mess facilities are available for residents in each hostel. Residents also have access to a common area, a gym, a reading room, and sports facilities. For the hostels, there is a provision for 24-hour water and electrical services.

IP University BPT Admission 2025: How to Apply?
The GGSIPU BPT courses admissions are entrance based where candidates must appear for the CET entrance exam. Candidates who score appropriate ranks in the CET entrance exam as well as fulfill the eligibility criteria for the BPT admissions can apply for GGSIPU admissions. The GGSIPU BPT application fees is INR 1,200.
- Visit the official website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (www.ipu.ac.in) and click on the 'Admission' tab and further click on 'Online Admission Form' from the drag-down menu.
- Read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and click on 'Start' to proceed with the registration step of the application process.
- Select BPT from the programme drop-down menu and register with candidate's name, email ID and contact number. Further, click on 'CET' courses because BPT comes under the 'CET' category courses.
- Candidates will receive an application sequence number, user ID and password for future logins and a link to the application form to proceed with further steps.
- In the first stage of the application form, enter personal details, such as name, parents' name, age, nationality, etc. Also, enter the present address information along with the permanent address.
- Fill in the essential qualification details, including the year of passing and the school/ institution attended.

- PhD admissions for winter session is open. The university will conduct the entrance test on Dec 22, 2025.
- The NEET UG Counselling 2025 has concluded, with the final seat allotment result of the stray vacancy round for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc (Nursing) courses.
- The CMAT 2026 exam is expected to be held in Jan 2026 for admission to the MBA, PGDM, and MMS courses.
- The CUET PG 2026 registration process for admission to PG courses is expected to begin in Jan 2026.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration window is expected to open in the first week of Mar 2026 for admission to UG courses.
- The NIMCET 2026 application form is anticipated to be available in April 2026 for admission to the MCA course.

GGSIPU has given weightage to both theory and practical UG and PG courses. Students need to secure a minimum of 75% in semester theory exam for UG courses and 60% for PG programmes. For practical, students need to secure a minimum of 60%. A student must pass both theory and practical examination to pass the semester. Students who fail the internal exam are required to re-appear in the previous semester examination to obtain sufficient credits to be promoted to the next academic year.

In the meantime, students who want a get an idea of AYUSH Cutoff trends should know that during the AYUSH Cutoff 2024, the last round closing cutoff rank was 37435 for admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) for the students belonging to the General AI category. On the other hand, BHMS - Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery course, last round cutoff was 110826 for General AI quota. Please note that different rounds and categories will have different qualfying cutoffs accordingly.

BTech tuition fees at GGSIPU is INR 7.6 Lacs for all BTech courses in the academic year 2026. However, candidates are also required to pay other fees in the form of university charges, alumni deposit, development and infrastructure fees and others on top of the aforementioned tuition fees.

If the candidates are applying for BTech courses other than BTech in Biotechnology, then the JEE Mains is a mandatory entrance exam for GGSIPU admission. For BTech in Biotechnology admission, candidates need to appear in either the IPU CET or CUET-UG.
