Effectiveness of Placement Cell for M.E/M.Tech Courses at GGSIPU

Based on the reviews and ratings provided by students and alumni, here's an assessment of the effectiveness of the placement cell for M.E/M.Tech courses at GGSIPU:

* No placements: Several students mentioned that there are no placements from the college, and the placement cell does not exist.
* Limited company presence: While some students reported receiving internship opportunities or jobs from top companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Adobe, the frequency of such occurrences seems limited.
* Low average package: According to one student, the average salary package offered is around INR8.5 Lacs per annum.
* Competition from other colleges: Another student noted that many students from GGSIPU opt for graduate programs or pursue careers abroad due to lack of placements, indicating intense competition among colleges.
* Faculty and curriculum limitations: Some students expressed dissatisfaction with the teaching quality, citing that faculty members are not always supportive or knowledgeable, and that the curriculum may not prepare students adequately for industry expectations.

In conclusion, based on the available data, the placement cell for M.E/M.Tech courses at GGSIPU appears to be ineffective, with limited company presence, low average salaries, and limited career prospects for students. Additionally, faculty and curriculum limitations may further hinder the college's ability to place students in competitive industries.

Note: These findings are based exclusively on the provided student and alumni reviews and ratings, without referencing external sources.

It is a good college with a decent infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: Our TPO has been continuously sending drive links from the very start of the placements season. Core companies do not hire in bulk for ECE students still there have been many drives also from the university itself. As for the IT sector, I have an offer letter from a pharmaceutical company based in Noida with a 4.5 LPA for the role of a business quality analyst. Many others have been preparing for competitive exams like GATE or so on.
Infrastructure: There are very spacious classrooms in our college with the capacity of 80 students. I have availed bus services of college for 2 years and I am content with the service and price for the accommodation. As for the hostel, there is also good service there with great meal facilities. There is a vast ground for sports and activities which is a plus point for someone passionate about the sports.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and competent. They are updated with the latest advancements in their expertise. Exams in the colleges are a calk walk for someone who has attended classes regularly. It has taken students to the industry visit to Yakult and Havells. At last one's academics lie in themselves so it is students at the end to whom it all depends.

Good college to enjoy your graduation and PG life.
Placements: The college doesn't provide any placement opportunities for the students of M.Tech, but the college provides placement opportunities for the students of B.Tech and integrated M.Tech courses. Almost 80% of students from B.Tech get placed. The average salary package offered is 3.50 LPA. Mostly software engineer or development profiles are offered. There is a placement cell on the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Medical facilities are also available. Most of the equipment is available in labs, and you can learn a lot by doing practicals. Food served in the canteen is much good when compared to other colleges. Hostel rooms are also good. I didn't face any issues regarding the infrastructure of the college.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. They just want you to learn things. They use normal teaching methods. I didn't get any industry exposure. The practical sessions are useful. But I don't think that some subjects are useful, and students get bored with those subjects. There is no use of some subjects.

Awesome state government college in Delhi.
Placements: Placements are only in IT field. Most of them get placed in TCS. Other than that 10-15 companies visit every year which are also IT and CS based including Opera, Amazon, Adobe. If one is from ECE, one may not get desired placement. This is about USICT. I'm.Tech Robotics and Automation, got a government research job by cracking a Walk-in-Interview.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of USICT is one of the best architecture in Delhi. Whole campus is high-speed Wi-Fi enabled. Classroom, Library and medical facilities are up to the mark. Hostel is single room for single person. But having done a newly introduced course here I. e. M.Tech - Robotics and Automation, the labs has not been built yet.
Faculty: In Masters almost all the teachers are Ph.D. Mostly from IIT's. In Masters it's usually 1:13 teacher student ratio. College may arrange your visit for industry exposure if you provide them all the plan. Course curriculum has many vaccant period which makes it less hectic.
Other: IPU fest is one of the best in Delhi. Being a the biggest state university in Delhi it's very much crowded. Connectivity from college is very good. It's 10 minds from Dwarka Sector - 14 metro station. Surrounding is calm and there are many opportunities for extra curricular activities. All state government scholarship applies.

The placements are awesome in the university.
Placements: It's the university campus, so no doubt it has one of the best placements. Good companies come, but intake is few from good companies. For average companies, the intake is high. Overall, the placements are high. It also depends on students, as you will find many students with multiple offers and students with none. So it also depends on the individual.
Infrastructure: It has a huge campus, but it's not properly maintained. We have all sports facilities available. It has basketball, cricket, table tennis, volleyball, badminton etc., all available for use. The university does not provide very good food, but it's not that bad also.
Faculty: The course fees are high, no doubt, but it has some of the quality teachers. It also has a huge library, but huge only in infrastructure as you don't find the books you require. The books that the teachers suggest for course are very few, only 3-4. But it has a huge variety of courses. It's the only University in Delhi which provide weaken M.Tech classes. So you can explore the way to study even if you are working.
Other: The fest occurs annually, but yes small events like robotics, coding competition etc. are frequently organised. There are many clubs also. So one can easily find their interested club.

Good reputation but not good placements
Placements: A good number of companies come to this college offering an average package of 4 lakhs per annum, although very few of them offer developer profile to computer science and IT students. Placement in mass recruiters like Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, etc. is very easy.
Infrastructure: The campus is vast as it is a university along with hostel facilities. Each department has a different building and the canteen is air-conditioned with two storeys. The library is also very diverse. Parking facility for students is also there which is separate from the staff parking.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members here are experienced. But some of them lack knowledge about the subjects they taught and they don't have practical knowledge. The curriculum covers the theory part very well but the practical part is generally less focused upon.
Other: I would suggest this college to those who wish to stay in Delhi and they don't have any other option. It is a government college so there are definitely some pros like less fee, a good campus, good reputation etc. I think the cons are more than pros because marks is the only thing that is important here. The teachers encourage cheating in exams, due to this, placements are very less and most of the students end up getting low package jobs. Being a college of Delhi, students get good exposure in extracurricular activities and social exposure. The metro is nearby.

Other: One of the best colleges in Delhi and NCR. It has a beautiful campus. Everything is available on the campus itself. Nice faculty that always helps in every situation. I studied in USICT, where I’m pursuing M tech. The campus crowd is really awesome. I have found many friends over there. They are the really awesome person to hang out with. The library is good and as many books are available over there. There are many labs where you can use the facilities of different computer software.
