The IGDTUW review - honesty and willingness.
Placements: IGDTUW is famous for its placements from all the branches. On average, 80% of the students got placed through campus selection in the year 2022, which is quite good. IGDTUW also has a placement cell that takes care of placements from the beginning to the end. Overall, it's very good compared to other colleges.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure, it's quite average or I would say below average. The tables, chairs, blackboards, podiums, etc., are all 30 years old. Being a government college, what else can we expect? Even the labs are in very poor condition, and equipment doesn't work properly.
Faculty: The faculty is no doubt very good. They are well-qualified, well-educated, and well-experienced. All of them are very talented in their own fields, and they are willing to express their knowledge. But it's not a school, so you will have to figure out how to make the best use of the faculty. There's even a concept of guest teachers here.
Other: College life will be good. Knowing about the placement will keep you motivated to do well. Other things like fests or events take place from time to time, like other colleges. Not so "wow," but worth participating in.

Satisfied with the college as it has good placement ratio and some teachers are very soft hearted.
Placements: In IGDTUW, 66% of students are placed with more than 20 LPA. The highest package is 82 LPA. The lowest package is 6 LPA. Companies like Microsoft and Google often visit our campus. For internships, almost 83 companies visit our campus. There are many societies in the college to join.
Infrastructure: All the facilities like Wi-Fi, library, and labs are available. Classes are big and spacious. We can get books from the library on demand. Food quality of canteen can be improved. As I am a day scholar, I don't know much about hostel life, but it is also of good quality.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are highly qualified. And all the teachers help in completing the assignment and projects. The professor also helps in making the report and getting the internship. Semester exams are not much more difficult, as you can get a good score by studying one week before.
Other: I chose the course ECE with AI, as it has many benefits in the future, as I can get into tech companies and core companies too.

Good placements but no campus life.
Placements: Placements are really good, various software development internships and roles are offered, even non-technical roles are also offered. Even core branches have good placements, both technical and non-technical; both national and international companies visit.
Infrastructure: Hostel life is bad: early curfew, no AC classrooms, 5 people living in the same room, no wifi 24/7, very strict rules and regulations, warden doesn't even hear to the needs of students, no actions are taken even after protests, and very poor conditions.
Faculty: Faculty are okay. Some are PhD students teaching freshers; some faculty are really cool and experienced; some are straight-up narcissists. The exams are not that hard, previous year questions and notes are enough to get a decent CGPA. The library is well maintained.

IGDTUW is a good college in terms of placement and infrastructure.
Placements: Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University For Women is a good college in terms of placement. Its average package is approximately 20 LPA. I'm from the Mechanical and Automation Engineering branch, so its average package is approximately 15 LPA, and the highest is 59 LPA (approximately).
Infrastructure: Facilities provided to students at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University For Women are good. There's a library where we can sit and study nicely. The only thing I don't like about the college is the infrastructure; it is nice but not that good according to me. I am not a hosteller, so I don't have knowledge about their food and all.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and well-qualified. They teach according to the semester syllabus, and we can ask them if we don't understand anything in class or after the session ends. I am in my first semester, so I don't find the semester exams really tough.

    Mechanical Engineering at IGDTUW.
Placements: So, I am a student at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University For Women in the Mechanical and Automation Engineering course. One has always come across that mechanical is not a good branch and there is no scope of doing it, but after looking at the placement rates of my college from this branch, I think that this is not true. You just need to be good enough in what you are doing, then placement is all yours. No one can stop you in succeeding. Almost every student is placed, and last year the highest package was 32 LPA, the average was 8 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IGDTUW is okay. We don't have a huge and fancy campus like other private colleges, but yes, we do have better placements. I don't think campus size and infrastructure matter to enjoy the campus life; you just need some good friends. We have a library and good classrooms. Being a day scholar, I don't know much about the hostel, but yes, as much as I know from my friends, it is good.
Faculty: I always heard that university teachers don't care about you, whatever you do is not their thing, they just want to complete their syllabus. It's not like that in IGDTUW. Here, teachers are so helpful, complete the syllabus on time, and even take revision classes. What else do we need? We have 2 exams per semester, midsem and endsem. None of the exams are too difficult or too hard to pass if you carefully listen to the teacher in class and revise their notes. Teachers' notes are the best study resource in the college.
Other: I was getting better branches than mechanical in IPU, but I chose IGDTUW over it as even the mechanical placements of IGDTUW are better than tech placements of IPU. And one thing I have learned is one should always go for a better college over a better course. We have so many societies in IGDTUW. Also, we have fests like Diwali fest Jhilmil, tech fest Innerve, and also cultural fest Tarangana.

Good placements but otherwise poor infrastructure and facilities .
Placements: The placements for ECE have been good however the first batch of ECE-AI is yet to graduate so there is no statistical data regarding this particular branch. However, in 3rd year more than 50% people were able to get internships I. e on campus for the branch ECE- AI. Most students are placed in teach and software companies only with multiple students opting the off campus offers that include companies like microsoft etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is poor. The buildings are old and the electronics department gets very hot during summers with poor ventilation in classrooms. Infrastructure of IT block is better compared to ECE. Washrooms of ECE building are horrible. There is no cleanliness and the sell sometimes reaches even the classrooms. The projector of ECE classrooms rarely works. Library is average. It is fully AC with enough space to sit and study. The decorum and cleanliness is also well maintained. There is a badminton court behind IT block but it's mostly a hangout spot for monkeys and therefore not many students play there. The labs are average and fully AC. The systems are outdated however.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and most teach sufficient for the exams. Most of the teachers are PhDs and quite knowledgeable. However, when it comes to exams, students need to prepare themselves for the environment is much different from schools. Teachers only help when you seek them out. There is no spoon feeding. Course curriculum for ECE AI is fresh and more up to date as compared to ECE due to which most students are now referring ECE AI. Due to the integration of AI, students are required to learn multiple coding languages which keep them at par with CSAI students. Many subjects are similar to CS-AI. Exams are moderate difficult. Students can get an idea looking at the past year papers. The pass percentage is good enough with multiple students also averaging around 9 GPA each semester.
Other: With my percentile, this was the best suited course I could find. I opted ECE ai because of the curriculum being fresh and updated as compared to ECE. Best things about my course is its overlap between the electronics as well as software industry. I wish the lab and projects and overall hands on experience were better. In labs, we can get along with simply doing those age old experiments mentioned in the syllabus which leave no excitement or curiosity on the student' part. The campus life is underwhelming. The societies are rarely active with only the dance and drama societies being more active than the others. The campus is small due to which fests are also underwhelming with limited number of same old stalls like last year. There are a lot of monkeys in the campus that sometimes attack on students to snatch the things they have in hand. Connectivity to Kashmere GATE is great with the GATE no.7 being at just a 5 min walk from the campus. Campus is shared with the Ambedkar University crowd. One can find more ambedkar students changing around IGDTUW campus than IGDTUW girls on a fine day.
