The placement scenario is disappointing, but the infrastructure, facilities and faculty are good.
Placements: The strength of M.E. civil engineering of 2019 batch (specialisation in structure) is 10 students. Two students were company-sponsored and went back to their parent company after passing out. From the remaining, only two students got placement from campus at DCPL, and they were offered salary package of around 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Every student can access to Wi-Fi. Almost every book and journals related to our field of study are available at the department and central library. Laboratories have quality testing equipment, and computers have the latest structural engineering software. The campus has various canteens where quality food is available at a reasonable price.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum could be a bit more relevant and more industry-oriented. Steel structure design should be included in the course and subjects like bridge design should be made available to the students for optional.
Other: I wish that the placement scenario would improve and the placement co-coordinator should put a little more efforts to invite core companies for campus placements. Sports events, tech fests, cultural events are conducted throughout the year.
