World class infrastructure, dissatisfied with placements in 2015.
Placements: In my course, there were very less placements. This is true with other courses as well. Only 2 companies came to our college and out of the batch of 50 students, only 2 students were recruited. The packages offered by companies were very few. It was not up to the industry standards and the roles offered were in the field of a data analyst, research associate, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was good. The college has lavish green gardens which are well maintained and the campus is huge so students can easily roam around the campus. All the facilities were provided such as a library, clean classrooms, labs, etc. The mess and medical facilities are also good.
Faculty: The pass percentage in college is 33 per cent. The teachers are very knowledgeable and study at college is at top-class just like Delhi University. The faculty is good at teaching and qualified. The course curriculum is very good and it is very wide which helps students to do research and helps in making them industry-ready.

Jamia Millia Islamia provides good placements, infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: Placements are decent in Jamia. As it is a Central University, there are many opportunities available here. The training and placement cell of Jamia is very active, and the internship cell is also very good. Around 60 to 70% of students get internships easily.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Jamia is very good. The classrooms are very big, and the labs are equipped with the latest technology. Jamia being a Central University is very famous for sports and has its own sports complex which has a basketball court, a cricket field, football ground, etc.
Faculty: Faculty at Jamia Millia Islamia are very good. The quality of education here is very nice. If you really want to get good knowledge, Jamia is a very good place for you. Jamia Millia Islamia offers many courses, from engineering to fine arts and mass communication, etc.
Other: The crowd at Jamia is decent, and the campus is very big and beautiful. You will get a very good exposure here.

Jamia is good if you’re looking for a good crowd.
Placements: The college has a working placement cell, but the number of companies visiting the campus is still low compared to DU. Another issue is that there is now a combined placement cell for MA, BFA, and BA, so companies tend to prefer MA and BFA students over BA students. The roles offered on campus are very basic.
Infrastructure: All required facilities for economics students are available, including a computer lab in the department and unlimited Wi-Fi access across campus. Hostel facilities are mostly in good condition, but not everyone who applies for a hostel gets one.
Faculty: The curriculum of the course is not as strong as Delhi University’s, but it’s decent. There are both good and bad professors in the department; some are very knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, while others may lack depth in what they’re teaching.

A worthy college with genuine and supportive faculty.
Placements: Placements in Jamia are great, and the salary packages offered are also exceptional. Companies like Genpact and Royal Bank of Scotland offered jobs. Many students with good aptitude got selected and are now on the right platform to learn a lot. The interview process is also very educational in most cases.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is also very good. A large field for sports is available for students, and the canteen provides good food. Other attractive spots are also at short distances from the college. The overall area of the college is immense.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are brilliant. The exceptional support of teachers in examinations, as well as other co-curricular activities, is a strong factor of this college. The student-faculty relation is also a two-way process here. So it becomes easy for the students to communicate easily.
Other: Events and programs conducted in this college are awesome. If you join, you should attend all such events to enjoy them to the fullest.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: Not in terms of percentage, but only one or two students are being placed from our department, as of my knowledge. And also, I'm not aware of the salary being offered. Saying the truth, I didn't know and heard much about the placements offered by our department. The university is having a placement cell.
Infrastructure: The department is well-equipped with a separate library, wi-fi connection, model classrooms, well-working computer labs, and all. Some of the classes are air-conditioned also. Mostly Masters students have classes from the department; we are having our classes from the new teaching block. When it comes to the hostel, it is very nice. My room is in the new building, so we have all the new things. Rooms are three-seater, well-spacious, and good-quality chair, table, cot, etc. But our cupboard is too small; we can't keep our complete things in it. Gym facilities are available in the hostel. University-free wi-fi is available in the hostel. Mess is in good condition, hygienic, and clean, but was not good for all the time. Sometimes its quality decreases very well. We have vast and wide lawns inside the hostel campus so we make use of it for exercising playing badminton, etc.
Faculty: Some of our teachers are very well prepared, but some of them are not, and they themselves don't know what they are saying. But making use of the library is all we are doing. Teaching quality is not good for all of them. Course curriculum is superb, but if we are getting the bad teacher, we can't make use of it. Semester exams are not very tough. If we have a general idea of what the theory is saying, we can pass the exam. Pass percentage is around 90%.
Other: I chose it because I loved economics when I was doing my secondary school. But after coming here, I'm thinking that I have lost my passion for it. The course and syllabus are very nice. To improve the quality of the course, the department must hire some teaching faculty with much more skill. Over all, campus life is very enjoyable. Campus is providing all the opportunities to improve yourself. There are so many events, fests, cultural programs, etc. organized by different clubs, societies, organizations, etc. The campus crowd is very nice. If we step out to the central canteen after 4pm, it is very enjoyable there with so many people from different parts of the country, from Kerala to Kashmir. We can improve our language capacity also by increasing our connectivity. The university is providing a department of student welfare; where there are so many cultural societies, students can be a part of it. And the same department is appointed for the scholarship things. I'm not much aware of the scholarship things because I'm not getting any scholarship as my mother is a government employee.

I don't think you will get direct admission in JMI (second year), because JMI takes entrance exam for every course, I would suggest you not to waste your year for BA, and do your MA or whatever you want to do after BA from JMI or other good universities like DU or BHU.
