Better than any other option but lacking in industry standards.

Placements: I was appointed as a university placement coordinator for my batch. Being realistic, just being a geography graduate doesn't lead to field-specific jobs. The market demands specialists in sub-fields of geography like geo-informatics, remote sensing, and disaster management, rather than general geography. Other than a few internship offers we received in the first year, there was no placement at all for Geography Honours students in any year of the course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is poor for several reasons: 1. There are only three classrooms in the geography department. Two of the three are not spacious enough to accommodate all the students in a batch of about 60, so all classes for Bachelor's students are held in only one classroom. 2. The classrooms are not air-conditioned, and not all the fans work well. 3. The department has one GIS lab with no more than 20 computers, and only a few of those are functional. 4. The department has a room it calls a "seminar hall," which contains a few locked racks of books and thesis publications, but there is no actual departmental library.

Faculty: Professors are mostly helpful and great teachers. However, the female professors rarely take classes. Even when they do, either they don't deliver well or they struggle to do so. The guest faculty is generally not good, although it can occasionally be a stroke of luck. Ph.D. scholars are mostly (though not all) good, as they tend to work with greater zeal and curiosity.

Other: I chose B.Sc. Hons. Geography as my course primarily because I am a UPSC aspirant rather than to continue an academic career. I selected geography over other sciences because it aligns with various fields of study. Campus life is simple; you attend classes, go to the library, roam around the campus, and repeat. The students' union is not allowed in the university, the teachers' association was banned last year, and there are no official departmental or student societies in the university.
