At the postgraduate level, MAKAUT offers a two-year MTech programme across 15 specialisations. Details around MAKAUT MTech admission are as follows:

Selection to MTech is done basis of a valid score in PGET or GATE followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round.
For MTech in Biotechnology, however, admission is based on either PGET or GAT-B conducted by Regional Centre for Biotechnology
Candidates getting admission via GAT-B to MTech Biotechnology are also given a stipend of Rs 12,000 per month. The continuation of the stipend in the second year is subject to satisfactory progress of the students.

The following table mentions all MTech specialisations along with their eligibility criteria:

Biotechnology	A pass in any of the following UG degree with 60% aggregate BPharm/ BTech/ BE (Biotechnology, Biochemical, Biomedical, Industrial Biotechnology, Chemical, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemical Technology, Food technology, Food Engineering)/ MSc (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Genetics, Life sciences, Bioengineering)
Bioinformatics	- A pass in Class 12 with 60% aggregate in two subjects out of PCM + 50 % in BSc (Hons)/ 55% in MSc (Part-1)/ 7.25 CGPA (65%) in BTech - Must have one of the following degrees: BE/ BTech(Biotechnology, Chemical)/ MSc (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biosciences)/ BPharm - Those in their final year of UG course can also apply and get admission (provisionally)
- CSE - Software Engineering - Microelectronics & VLSI Technology - CSE (Information Security) - IT - IT (Artificial Intelligence) - IT (Data Science) - IT (Information Security) - IT (Internet of Things) - Geoinformatics	- A pass in one of the following UG degrees with 50% aggregate: BE/ BTech in CSE, ECE, ECTE, IT, EI, EE OR MSc in CS/ IT/ Electronics/ Physics or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate OR 6.75 CGPA in 7 point grading system on a basis of 10.0 in the qualifying examination - For software Engineering: MSc (Maths) and MCA candidates can apply provided they have a Science background at Class 12 or UG level - Those who are in the final year of BE/ BTech/ MSc/ AMIE Sec A & B/ AMIIM/ AMIETE can also apply. Admission will be provisional for them until final results are submitted.
Industrial Engineering & Management	- A pass in BE/ BTech in any branch of Engineering/ Technology or equivalent with 60% aggregate (45% for reserved categories) OR 6.75 CGPA in 7 point grading system on a basis of 10.0 in the qualifying examination - Those appearing in the final year of their UG degree may also apply. Admission will be provisional for them until final results are submitted.
- Materials Science and Technology - Renewable Energy	BE/BTech in relevant branch

HIT: The iconic four pillars in Haldia Institute of Technology.

Placements: Companies do come, including the mass recruiters. You get a lot of time in 4 years to shine, which you will not get in any other college. Being honest, I know a lot of seniors who are getting packages more than 12 LPA, and I also know a few who are jobless (because in 4 years they drank, enjoyed, took drugs, and did nothing).

Infrastructure: The campus facilities and the hostel at the college were impressive. The classrooms were equipped with modern technology, and the library had an extensive collection of resources, both in print and digital formats. The laboratories were well-maintained and had the necessary.

Faculty: There are a lot of extracurricular activities you would want to explore. Most of them happen in the even semesters. And the most important, which I really enjoyed, is that you can survive here with really low attendance. Coming to the academic part, scoring here is really easy in exams. So even if you want to explore other technologies or prepare for a competitive exam, you can give time for that.

Other: The student life at the college was vibrant and engaging. There were numerous student organizations and clubs catering to a wide range of interests. The campus hosted regular events, including cultural festivals, guest lectures, and sports tournaments. The diversity of the student body fostered a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, promoting cross-cultural interactions and understanding.

Placements: The placement here at Kalyani Government Engineering College is excellent, with tons of companies visiting the campus for recruitment. Prominent names include TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro, which are some mass recruiters at Kalyani Government Engineering College. Many startups are also wanting to collaborate with the college. In recent years, the track record has been very good, with students getting placed in Amazon, Microsoft, and other big companies. All in all, a good place to look for placement.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college and the department is good, with large, spacious classrooms that can accommodate a lot of students. The windows are big and airy, creating a fresh environment for the classroom. The labs are equipped with the latest-gen computers and fast internet availability. The campus also features a large sports ground where various sports can be played, encouraging fitness. Overall, a good place.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified in their professions. Most teachers are doctorate holders from renowned colleges, so the classroom experience is quite pleasant. The teachers not only teach academics but also prepare the students to be industry-ready. The exams are of medium difficulty; a certain level of proficiency is needed to compete here.

Other: I chose this college because it is one of the most reputed colleges here in West Bengal, ranking in the top 3. The events here at KGEC are wonderful, especially the main attraction, the annual fest Espektro, which is regarded as the best event in West Bengal.

Electrical Department has Excellent Laboratories and Faculty.

Placements: The college provides excellent placement offers for software and hardware sectors. Many of my friends got placed in reputed Core industries. Some of my friends are now perusing M.Tech from IITs and NITs. Also some of my friends along with me underwent Internships from companies like BHEL, DRDO, TATA Steel etc.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is up to the mark. There is a beautiful pond inside the Campus. The Canteen is superb with variety of food. There is a very big play ground area inside the campus. Both Girls and boys hostels are located close to the campus with adequate seats. The Girls hostel food is good.

Faculty: The college has an experienced and sufficient faculty of staff members. Curriculum is as per the industry needs. Industry visits are organized by the department. Examination is very fair with good passing percentage in the class. Beyond that, curriculum courses are also organized by EE Depth and Training Placements cell.

I am absolutely satisfied with curriculum, good placements, facilities, etc.

Placements: College is known for its good placements. More than 50 companies conducted campus recruitment this year. For CSE and IT renowned companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Ola, Oracle, etc., come for hiring talents. The average salary package for the CSE and IT departments is 3 to 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: It has three buildings namely Ashram, Gurukul, and Management building. It has basketball and badminton courts. Each building has a library and every class in the building is fully functional with digital classes. The full building is Wi-Fi enabled. Hostel fees are Rs. 39,000 per semester but has to pay as a whole at a single time.

Faculty: Teachers are well supported but the curriculum of the college hours is very long. The course curriculum makes the students ready for the industry. Our faculty members are very good, highly qualified and helpful. Their way of teaching is very good, which helps to understand the topics very quickly. But there are some teachers whose lectures are a little bit boring.

Other: The college provides both cultural and technical fests which are vibrant. The main plus point is the college environment and infrastructure for the outside industry environment.

Best college in Haringhata, kalyani.

Placements: Currently I am in 1st year of M.Tech in IT (artificial intelligence). So from the final year batch I know that about fifty percent of students were placed in my course. The highest package was 10 LPA and the lowest package was 4 LPA and the average package was 6 LPA offered in my course. Top recruiting companies ware wipro, capgemini, cognizant, accenture etc. About ninety five percent of students got internship in internshala. Top roles were full stack engineer.

Infrastructure: We got a open library. Anybody can access any books from the library. But we ever faced a problem related to Wi-Fi. Sometimes the Wi-Fi did not work properly. Classrooms are big enough and clean as well. The food quality of canteen is quite good. And lastly the playground is really big for organizing sports.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They hold your hand in every situation. Teaching quality is superb. The course curriculum is related to artificial intelligence. As I am in 1st year of this course I did not know about the difficulty level of semester exam. Our first semester exam is upcoming on 13th of march, 2022. and lastly the pass percentage is 30%.

This college is very good for students' future growth, it will provide location or academics.

Placements: Placements for M.Tech courses will be assistant professors for their group of colleges. Otherwise, no company will come to recruit master's students. Students will be getting scholarships if they maintain a decent academic record throughout their course. This will be an added advantage.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college irrespective of laboratories or classrooms were fairly good. Students will get almost everything they need to be there in an engineering college. For the hostel, as I was not a hosteller, but I have heard from my friends that the overall experience of hostel stay was very good in all aspects, be it in staying or the food that they provide.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and well qualified to answer all students' queries regarding the course. The quality of teaching students will be getting was very good. The course curriculum that our university provided was very relevant and it will be helpful for future goals that students need to achieve. Semester examinations were tough. Though students will get every guidance, they need to compete in that exam from the faculty members. So, that will not be a problem if students were serious with their studies.

Other: If students want to do their masters from the power system, then this should be the first preference, because there were very limited colleges that provide master degree course in the power system.
