The cutoff trend for BTech in Mechanical Engineering at NIT Trichy - National Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under the General category for all India quota was 10037. In 2022, it increased to 11032. For admission in a BTech course at NITT, candidates shall have a valid score of JEE Main. Candidates with a score equal to or more than the cutoff marks further becomes eligible for participation in the JoSAA counselling round. If the seats are left vacant after this round, then those are filled through the CSAB counselling. Candidates who pass Class 12 in Science stream wtih PCM/ PBM subjects are eligible to apply for this course.

No, there is not provision of direct admission to M.Tech at NIT Trichy. Aspirants must appear and qualify for GATE exam with a valid score.
