Rabindra Bharati University - History Department.

Placements: The intake capacity of this course was seventy. The fees were minimal, as per government university rates. Since this was not a technical or vocational course, there was no placement system. However, the professors were very cooperative and always motivated the students to prepare for NET, SET, and SLST exams.

Infrastructure: The hostel is near the University, and the electrical facilities are good. There are various classrooms, a library, and a common room. The hostel has two toilets, and the staff is very cooperative and helpful. Scholarship and train ticket concession facilities are also available.

Faculty: The professors were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good, and besides lectures, the professors used demonstrations and projects to teach. The pass percentage was 100%. This course curriculum is relevant because a student can become a professor or teacher by studying history. In every government service exam, history plays a major role.

Other: The passing ratio was 100%. Almost 95% Students got first class.

Faculty members need improvement.

Placements: It is an autonomous university for art students. Only the students of fine arts, performing arts, visual arts, etc., get a chance for placements. I am a student of a general course, and it has no value for direct placements. There is only an academic line open in our course.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is average, but it does not cover the whole campus, and it is mainly for university officials. The library is great, and although it can be improved. Labs are great. Classrooms need to be improved. There are 4 canteens on the campus, and the food served is great.

Faculty: Most of the teachers in our college are PhD holders. There are no permanent staff members, but they teach decently. Semester exams are not much difficult. The pass percentage is high. Sometimes the questions become tricky, but it is good. The course curriculum is fairly decent.

Other: I have chosen this course because I love history. It will help me in competitive exams. It needs a decent amount of changes, like science students and art students also deserve direct placement chances.

The college is very nice compared to the fee charged.

Placements: There are no placement opportunities in our college because it is a university and we are studying here to get a Master's degree. It helps students in future to get good jobs in academics. Also, our college makes sure that every student gets a job in a good company. Although it is a distance education university the people who are already placed somewhere can get a nice scope on completing the course here.

Infrastructure: My college has all the necessary infrastructure facilities but there is no library, Sports area or cafeteria available here. The college places including washrooms are nice and hygienic too. The library has more than 5 lac books. Our college has a separate hospital with an ambulance service well.

Faculty: The college has good teaching facilities. There are exams conducted in between to revise the topics we have been taught. The quality of teaching is amazing and teachers explain everything in very clear and simple language. There are many sports tournaments organised here which encourage the student.

Other: Per year, this course costs Rs 7k to 8k. Overall, it's really cheap for pursuing this course. I feel that my money invested here is worth this college standard.
