A:

Based on the information you've provided, your JEE Mains percentile of 79 is decent and could be a competitive score for admission to Sastra University, Thanjavur. Remember, admissions to universities can be competitive, and it's always a good idea to have backup options. There are many other reputable institutions that offer quality education in engineering and other fields. SASTRA is good and would recommend to all.
Placements: The average package for all departments is around 6 LPAs. The most placements are in SOC (computer science-based). Most students in my department and my course opt for higher education, but we do have placements, and graduates work for top companies like Dr. Reddys.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good in most of the cases and about my department, I personally love the atmosphere and the surroundings with good ventilation. About classrooms, they are well spaced with good seating and the library is one of the best. I don't have any idea about hostels as I am a day scholar.
Faculty: The faculty members are friendly, they will be helpful in every way and they will assist us throughout the degree and students too. About the exams, we have three CIAs, and out of three, the best two will be selected. Scoring in the CIA is as important as the semester. The CIA will decide our SG and how we are going to score in the semester.
Other: The course is good and the batch and our seniors are friendly.

Wonderful rapport between students and faculty of SASTRA University
Placements: 1. Around 50 percent of the students were placed. 2. The lowest salary was 3 LPA and the highest was 6lpa. 3. Biocon, TCS are the top recruiters 4. Design Engineer, Sales Executive are the roles offered. 5. The lowest was 3lpa, the highest was 6lpa. 6. Around 40 percent of students got internship.
Infrastructure: 1. Labs of all types are available inside the campus, Heavy machinery labs for Mechanical Engineering are outside campus. 24 Hour Wi-Fi connectivity. Classrooms are good. There is a main Library and Department Libraries in each department building. 2. Hostel Facility was about average, Food was also good but maybe preferences differ, There is a gym and grounds for plenty of games and clubs for sports.
Faculty: 1. The teachers were very helpful and are always qualified, they are very knowledgeable about their relative subjects as well. The quality of teaching depends on their subject matter and methods. 2. The course curriculum is relevant. Students are theoretically prepared and just need experience to work in an industry.

I am dissatisfied due to the low quality of the food served, which doesn't have a taste.
Placements: Every year 90% of students get placed in different companies. Graduate management trainee and Junior quality manager are the top roles offered in our course. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Sanmar, Saint Gobain and Super Gas are the top recruiting companies of our college.
Infrastructure: There are good labs and lab equipment which are neatly cleaned and can be used by students whenever they want. Wi-Fi routers are attached to every nook and corner to access many things to students. Quality of food served is low in our college. Canteens provide good taste at affordable prices. Grounds are constructed inside the campus to play indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very much friendly with students. Quality is good in terms of teaching. They are conducting seminars and allowing students to talk about different topics and evaluating their results. The course curriculum is created to make students follow in industry level.
Other: I chose this course because we can control the environment, can produce the quality products which help to humans, can reduce pollution, can control the fertilizer, plastic, diary and metal industries. Chemical engineering covers vast areas like electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering courses. Pollution control is the better thing about our course. There are three fests conducted every year called Daksh a technical fest, Colosseum a sports fest and Kuruksastra the cultural fest in which students can participate and can show their capability. Students who get CGPA of 7.5 will get deans 15% scholarship, and students who get more than 8 CGPA will get deans 20% scholarship. Every year one student get the highest award called "Kama Koti Award" who is good in all aspects like academics, sports and behaviour. Special workshops are conducted every week and in a month in all departments to impart knowledge to students. Campus surroundings are good with neatly planted trees.

SASTRA- the four year life was amazing!
Placements: In our batch, more than 90% of the students got placed. A few opted out of placements for higher studies like MS, MBA or M.Tech. The average salary offered was ~4 lpa. Many top companies such as Microsoft, eBay, TCS, IBM, Mu Sigma, Zoho, Wipro, etc. visited the campus. Along with these, a few core companies such as L&T, Bosch too selected the students.
Infrastructure: One of the key features of SASTRA is its infrastructure. Each specialization (department) has its own building with required labs and separate auditorium. Wi-Fi connectivity is available throughout the campus and is highly customised. The labs are specially designed for research purposes.
Faculty: The chemical department faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Most of have industry experience and are carrying out research. This enables the students to take projects under them and gives adequate knowledge. The student to faculty ratio is 10:1. the students do implant training as suggested by the faculty members and gain industry exposure.
Other: The tech fest Daksh, symposium and cultural events give lots of exposure to the students in terms of participation and organizing. This also helps the students to interact with other colleges' students and learn mutually. There are adequate hostels for the students, and they have various amenities such as gym, basketball court, lawn, stores, etc.
