My experience of pursuing engineering at Thapar.

Placements: The chances of getting placements in college are less as not many companies visit the college to recruit students, but reputed companies such as L&T visit, but they expect much better students. Especially, latecomers are allowed in L&T interviews. Thapar has now opened a CTD which trains students for interviews at free of cost.

It is better than most of the colleges in India. Probably, it is the 3rd best college.

Placements: Placements for the students of the computer stream are quite good. The college provides you with many opportunities to represent yourself to the company. Students of the electronics branch can also get into the IT sector. So, you can appear for all the companies visiting the campus for the computer science branch.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities but lags in the placement percentage.

Placements: Placements are comparatively on a downscale this year compared to last year. Less than half the number of companies that visited the campus last year arrived this year. Around 40% of the students were placed. The highest package offered was around Rs. 35 LPA, and the lowest package offered was around 1 LPA to 2 LPA. Major companies like Microsoft, Adobe and De Shaw arrived at the campus. Around 70-80% of the students get internships. The highest stipend offered was around 5 lacs, the lowest was ...

The college provides above average placements. The fee structure is high in regard to this college.

Placements: The average salary package offered is between 6-7 lacs per annum. Around 80-85% of the students get placed. The highest salary package offered in the electrical branch is 20 lacs per annum as of now, and the placements are still in process. Core companies that visit the campus for placements include Schneider Electricals, Bajaj Electricals, Crompton, etc. Further information regarding placements is available on the college website, and you can also contact the placement cell which can help the s...

It is a great college with good placements and infrastructure, but the fee structure is high.

Placements: Placements for the computer science branch are awesome with around 80% of the students getting placed till now from 2019 batch. The average salary package offered is more than 6.5 LPA. Companies that visited the campus for placements were Microsoft, Deloitte, De Shaw, JP Morgan, Blackrock, Western Digital, Samsung and many more. The highest domestic salary package offered was 18.5 LPA by Walmart, and the highest international salary package offered was 32 LPA by DE Shaw. Placements: Placements in our college are excellent. Almost all the good companies visit our campus for placements. Companies like Microsoft, Deshaw, Paytm, etc., visit our campus for recruitment. They offer very attractive salary packages. If we talk about core branches, then the situation is a bit different. Few core companies visit the campus for the students of ECE and electrical departments. Only a few core companies visit the campus for students of the mechanical department. Quality of teachers is decreasing, and the fee structure is increasing. Placements are good.

Placements: The college has a placement cell, and its staff are highly experienced. They are always ready to help the students. Every student gets an opportunity as various companies visit our college to conduct placement drives. Companies related to core branches and banking or business profiles are visiting our campus. The highest package offered was 38 LPA by Microsoft, which is great. Packages offered depend on the capability of students.

Students of other departments who have high CGPA or some unique practical knowledge also get placed. The overall salary package is also nice, but it is decreasing due to increasing batch strength. Campus life is the best. The syllabus is as per industry standards, but the fee is high.

Placements: Students of computer science and mechanical branch get a lot of opportunities regarding placements. The average salary package offered was in between 6 to 7 LPA. Most of the civil students of my batch were not placed in the campus placements. The college is good for B.Tech students only. Students who are pursuing MBA or any other degree do not get many opportunities regarding placements.

Computer Science, ECE, mechanical have the highest placements with respect to others. Satisfied with my college life and education but fees was a little too high.

Placements: Placements have declined since the implementation of the new admission policy at Thapar University, in which they gave admission on the basis of JEE Mains marks. This has degraded the quality of students on-campus. The number of seats has been increased manifold, approximately thrice now for 2022 batch as to what was there for 2014 batch. A great Institute for the personality development in every aspect.

Placements: Thapar has a good scope in placements for Computer Engineering students. It provides placements to all the students who are sincere enough to be eligible to sit for the interview. As per previous years statistics, COE branch has the highest percentage of placements, but branches like Chemical, Mechatronics, Industrial Production have less percentage of placements.

Our college has an excellent Infrastructure, but join only in Computer Science Engineering.

Placements: I'll be sitting for my placements in a few months, but this is what I've heard from my seniors. Getting a job is not that tough if you are not looking for a job in a core company. Many good companies like Amazon, VMware, Microsoft and JP Morgan come to the college for the placements. If you are a student of ECE department, then getting into SanDisk or STM Microelectronics is a bit tough. You have a good chance to get a job in a dream company if you're good at coding.
