Absolutely satisfied with the faculty and placements. Best infrastructure and no lack of facilities.

Placements: The placements are good when compared to colleges like IP, PEC etc. The college is proving to be better than many of the NITs. The average placements are equal to the top placements of many well-known companies like Amazon, Wipro e.t.c.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: I don't have an idea about the placements, but according to sources, I heard that the placements have been quite good in recent years despite the high intake of students every year. The top students of the college definitely get good placements. Students have to maintain a good aggregate.

Good infrastructure, moderate faculty over all satisfied.

Placements: Placements for computer Science is good but that to requires hard work, just because of the fact that you have a seat in CS won't fetch you job. Placement is 100% for computer Science. For other branches, the placement is not as good as Computer Science.

Overall good college in area 'Thapar University'.

Placements: I am currently in 2nd year. The placement scenario is good in our campus. According to latest data, 97% of students of ECE got placed in recognised companies with good packages. For internship stat is bit week but it really depends upon your knowledge and interest. There is a placement cell from which all the information related to different companies could be gathered.

The average package is approximately 6 Lacs per annum and the highest varies from 25 to 30 Lacs with companies like amazon and J. P. morgan giving lucrative packages to top students. Come here to gain the knowledge but not placements.

Placements: Placements of biotechnology are bad. Hardly any core company comes to the college, Siemens is the only one, I remember. Only those who want to do PhD in this field should apply in this course, as placement prospects are bleak. Ultimately you will be absorbed in an IT firm or startup which another mediocre engineering college can also provide.
