Is Thapar worth 25 Lacs?

Placements: Most people from the batch 2023 didn't even get internships as the recession hit Thapar real bad. So, I would say the placement ratio was pretty bad. Though packages were good the highest: was 1 crore, the least was no placement at all an average would be 10 LPA. Companies like Oracle, Optum, BlackRock, American Express, and Microsoft recruited. There were a lot of tech and non-tech roles offered for the batch.

Excellent college but loosing its reputation.

Placements: Almost every student got placed in placements, if not, then chances of off campus placements are good as Thapar has a better brand name and alumni network. But don't rely too much on college for placements as it has okish coding culture as compared to other private colllages. Average placements - average package is around 8-9 Lacs.

Good college if you can afford.

Placements: 20 kids got 20+LPA. Overall, good for CS. Average for rest courses but it is okay if you just want a degree. The majority of kids get bulk offers from TCS and other companies, so placement-wise, it is good if you have done good coding and DSA a lot. If you do this, you should get a good CGPA.

Placements: The placements are good but the competition is very high. All the companies come like Microsoft and Amazon but the CG cut goes as high as 9. If you are a boy, then things are really difficult. But everyone is supportive you get awesome support from everyone.
