There is beautiful infrastructure and campus full of greenery scenes.
Placements: Above 80 percent of students get placement. The highest package is 48 LPA, the lowest package is 4 LPA, and the average package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, JSW, and others. 50 percent of students got internships from many companies like Wipro, JSW, Infosys, Vedanta, Mahindra, and others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is awesome. Faculty members are also very good. There are smart boards, whiteboards, and blackboards available. The college campus has free Wi-Fi. The library is in good condition with AC also available. The labs have sufficient equipment. Hostel conditions are good, and the mess is better than others. Our institute has its own dispensary. There are many cultural, technical, and sports clubs.
Faculty: Yes, there are qualified teachers available. Everyone is qualified, and some have completed their education in other countries. Their teaching skills are very good. They are very helpful. They sometimes give extra classes and doubt classes. In our institute, there are laboratories to make students skillful. In our institute, the level of semester exams is moderate.
Other: It is the oldest government engineering institute in Odisha. So, I chose this college and its placement is also good. The campus is beautiful and awesome. Every year, they organize cultural, technical, and sports fests. Around 5000 students are present in our institute. If you are eligible, then you can easily get a scholarship.

VSSUT: The oldest engineer in the Odisha state.
Placements: From the chemical engineering department, out of 78 students, only 18 students got on-campus placements. 4 students opted for higher studies and 2 got off-campus placement. The highest package was 17 LPA from Asian Paints, the lowest was 3.4 LPA from Cognizant, and the average package is 5 LPA. JSW and Vedanta are the top recruiters of my course. Very few people got internships in companies like JK Paper and SAIL. Top roles offered in our courses are process control engineers, marketing managers, etc.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and labs of our department are very aesthetic and beautiful because it is a new department established in 2014 only. We have our own seminar hall of the department and Wi-Fi is available there. The hostel I got as a fresher is very good. It's like apartments from design. It can hold up to 1000 students. But the mess food was so unhealthy and unhygienic. It's advisable not to stay in the hostel in the first year. Although services like a shoemaker, cloth press, and a small variety store are available inside the hostel.
Faculty: The teachers in our course are so talented, and they graduated from IITs. Though they are rude and don't make a healthy connection with the students. They focus largely on lab examinations, and exams are very frequent in our college. Semesters are held every 3 months. The curriculum lags practical modern technology, though it makes sense from a higher studies point of view. Semester exams are not difficult, but the marks are in the teachers' hands, so it's better not to make any teacher angry and try to be in their good books.
Other: I wanted to study chemical engineering, but I was not getting NIT. And VSSUT is the oldest technical institution in all of Odisha. It is a very prestigious college that provides chemical engineering, so I opted for this college. The course is perfect for GATE aspirants, though it can be made for GATE-oriented students, which will be better by matching the GATE syllabus with the semester syllabus. The campus life is very good in this college, as Samavesh Technical Rest and Vassaunt Cult Fest happen in our college. And the campus is surrounded by lush green areas and a dam. Scholarships are available for worthy students. There are various clubs to join in our college, which will enhance creativity and connectivity.

VSSUT, established as a research university in 1956.
Placements: VSSUT had a 95% placement rate in 2023; the remaining 5% were those who pursued higher education. In chemical engineering, 85% of students were placed. The highest package was 9.5 LPA from JSW, and the lowest package was 4.5 LPA from Cognizant. The average package in 2023 was 6.7 LPA. The top core companies that visited campus were JSW, Vedanta, Adani, and the consulting firm Deloitte. The top role offered was assistant manager.
Infrastructure: All facilities and labs are available at our university. Smartboards are provided in all classrooms for teaching purposes. The central library, which is open until 8 p.m., is available on campus. You can please book from the library. Hostel rooms are of very good quality, accommodating three people per room. Washing machines and cups are provided for students. The quality of mess food is above average. A badminton court and volleyball court are available.
Faculty: All teachers are very well qualified and hold Ph.D. degrees. Most professors have graduated from IIT. Some teachers are very helpful to students. The course curricula are relevant to making students industry-ready. The syllabus gets updated according to the New Education Policy 2020. VSSUT semester exams are not very difficult for students to pass by studying the night before.
Other: New buildings are being constructed for the relocation of the academic building. A 2000-CR funding was approved by the state government to transform it into a multi-research university.

Review of Veer Surendra Sai University.
Placements: Around 40-45 students out of 60 get placed in our college. Many get placed in IT companies like Deloitte, IBM, etc. Our college target is to get 99% of placements this year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is better than other colleges. It provides free Wi-Fi facilities. Hostels are very good for non-vegetarian food fans but are a little old. There are various indoor games conducted in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. Semester exams conducted are very good. The course curriculum is very relevant and makes students ready for the industry.
Other: I chose chemical engineering because nowadays, its demand is increasing in our country. It provides a great opportunity for a career. Our college organises various events and meets.

Q:   Is B.Tech at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology better than Odisha University of Technology and Research?

A:

In terms of getting quality education, Odisha University of Technology and Research andVeer Surendra Sai University of Technology are almost equal. But don't have very high very high expectations from faculty members because the curriculum being taught is outdated and faculty members are generally disinterested to clear doubts apart from the regular coursework. Both CET and VSSUT Burla are well-respected institutions for B.Tech studies. However, it ultimately depends upon your personal preferences and strong needs.
