The no. of seats which are available for the B.Tech programme at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology varies upon different Branches/courses offered in the college. Civil Engineering consists of 140 seats, Computer Science and Engineering consists of 70 seats, Electrical Engineering consists of 140 seats, Electronics and Telecommunication engineering also consists of 140 seats, Production Engineering consists of 69 seats, Chemical engineering consists of 69 seats, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering consists of 65 seats, Electrical engineering+Power system Engineering consists of 18 seats. 

The B.Tech placements are decent at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology. The highest paid package offered to students is Rs.10.20 lakhs. The companies which visited this university are Deloitte, Tata Steel and Infosys. In Deloitte, 31 students are placed, In TCS, 161 students are placed and in Wipro, nearly 150 students are placed. The students from the 6th semester can apply for the campus placements. The average package was 7 lakhs. Almost everyone was placed leaving the ones who went for higher studies. 

In terms of getting quality education, Odisha University of Technology and Research andVeer Surendra Sai University of Technology are almost equal. But don't have very high very high expectations from faculty members because the curriculum being taught is outdated and faculty members are generally disinterested to clear doubts apart from the regular coursework. Both CET and VSSUT Burla are well-respected institutions for B.Tech studies. However, it ultimately depends upon your personal preferences and strong needs. 

The procedure to take B.Tech admission at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology is:

Fill and submit the OJEE or JEE Main online application form. Appear for the OJEE or JEE examination. Meet the OJEE or JEE cutoff requirement to qualify. Participate in the OJEE or JEE counselling process. And it is required to get 96+ percentile to get admission in VSSUT. It is good to have atleast 96 percentile so that one can get admission in computer Science in Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology. 

In Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, the B.Tech programmee include courses such as Computer Science and engineering, Electrical engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, Information technology, Metallurgical and Materials engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication engineering, Chemical engineering, production engineering. For these all courses, the fees is 91,280 rupees (first year fees) only. The lateral entry students will also have same fees i.e 91,280 rupees only.

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in Physics,  Chemistry,  and Mathematics.
• Entrance Examination: Candidates must appear for the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) or the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) and secure a valid rank.

Selection Procedure:

• Candidates will be selected for admission to the B.Tech programme based on their JEE Main or OJEE rank.
• The university will conduct a counseling session for the shortlisted candidates.
• Candidates will be allotted seats in the B.Tech programme based on their rank and preference.

Yes,  VSSUT offers various courses at undergraduate and research levels in Engineering, Science, Computer Application, Arts and Architecture streams including B.Tech. All courses are AICTE approved. it has aa category called Computer Science & Engineering . It's sanctioned intake is 60 students and total intake is 70 students. B.Tech is a total course of 4 years and can be a great career option for computer enthusiasts.
