One of the best engineering colleges in Odisha.
Placements: On average, 70%-80% of students get placed each year. In 2023, the highest salary package placement was 47.38 LPA, the average salary package was 6.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package was 3.36 LPA. A total of 79 companies visited, and 839 students were placed. Internships are offered at ISRO, NVIDIA, Tata Steel, Google, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are decent. Labs and the library are impressive. Hostel cleanliness is properly maintained. Food quality is also good, except in a few hostels, as it depends on the tender. Sports events are frequent, aside from the annual sports. Sports clubs are also present.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and intelligent, with decent degrees. Some even have degrees from well-known IITs. Of course, students are industry-ready. Exams are challenging and easy to pass, but scoring a good grade is difficult. The pass percentage is about 80%.
Other: I chose Computer Science because it is an in-demand course, and my college offers decent placements. Events, fests, and clubs are amazing. I think the theory should be reduced, with more focus on knowledge gaining.

I am satisfied with the campus, the facilities, faculty and good placements opportunity.
Placements: Around 70% of students get placed in vssut every year. The highest package is around 15 LPA, average package is around 7Lpaand the lowest package is around 3Lpa. Top companies of the course Infosys, deloitte. Almost 90% of students got placed in Infosys, Deloitte. Top Roles offered are SE.
Infrastructure: Vssut CSE department provides world class facilities like smart classrooms, 24*7 Wi-Fi available, completely well organised with sufficient computer facilities. It also have the facility of world class libraries with all books necessary or needed for the course. The hostel facility is also very good with Wi-Fi, cricket, volleyball, badminton ground. The mess food is also good with providing different menu each month, there is also canteen and a dispensary inside the hostel campus.
Faculty: The teachers of the institutions are highly qualified and help students in various academic activities and motivate the students, keen of sharing their knowledge in different situation. The course curriculum is totally relevant it shapes the students in every department so that they can face every challenges. The exams are conducted in moderate mode. The pass percentage is good.
Other: I chose this course due its high scope in future. It is a very good course which provide various knowledge about computers. It hosts various fest, the campus is very large, campus is surrounded with mountains and river.

College is good, but hostel one can come here if not any NITs.
Placements: Around 90% of students get placed in companies, with an average salary package of 5 LPA. It's a decent college for technical education, comparable to IITs in classes. Most core companies visit this college. It's a good college and but it is very strict about classes and academics.
Infrastructure: Currently, we are not getting Wi-Fi facilities, but some hostels provide it. Labs are quite good. Classes are also decent. The canteen is good, but the mess food is horrible. The mess is not good at all; it is not eatable. Sports and games are available, but students won't have time to play. If we do, it will highly affect their academics.
Faculty: Some teachers are good, while others are beyond my expectations. This is college, so we have to study everything on our own. It is quite difficult to score good marks in exams because there is no time for self-study. The only thing they have time for is assignments.

This was not my dream college. But still after joining it, I'm enjoying its environment a lot.
Placements: This college has a very good placement opportunity. Every year about more than 90 percentage of the students get placed in different companies in a very good packages. The faculty members and all members of the placement cell help the students to get placed.
Infrastructure: Undoubtedly, this college has a very good infrastructure in both academics and hostels. It has many classrooms, halls, digital rooms, seminar halls, conference halls, and other rooms for academic purpose. But these rooms need to be repaired as the college is very old.
Faculty: There are a lot of employees working for the institute. More than 100 faculty members and more than 50 non - teaching employees are working in this college. The quality of teaching provides by the faculty members if very higher and every semester the students are prepared to give the exam.

It is the best engineering college in Odisha.
Placements: The placement percentage in our course is about 100%. The highest salary package was about 18 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA, and the average was 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Deloitte, CreditScore, and Infosys. Most students got internships.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are digital. They have touchscreen displays. The labs have lots of devices. Hostels are typical, and the quality of food is good. There is a government dispensary near our hostel, so we get good treatment.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and very helpful. They are knowledgeable, and their teaching methods are extraordinary. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite difficult.

Frankly speaking, I'm not confident. However, this year there's a chance that you may get selected as people would like to study in their home state due to COVID. So you will get clarity after attending the counselling. Also your branch preferences matter like you can opt for a Metallurgy/Production

Nope, no chance of getting CSE, but yes, you can get IT for sure. You can also get branches like EEE, civil and ETC as well.
