Q: What is the eligibility criteria for admission to BTech program?

A: To be eligible for admission to BTech program, the applicant must be Class 12 pass out with a minimum aggregate of 45 per cent (40 per cent for SC/ ST) from a recognised Board. The applicant must have had Mathematics and Physics as one of its core subjects with either Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology as its optional subject. 

Q: How does the admission process work? And, on the basis of what parameters the final selections are made?

A: The admissions at NIET, Greater Noida are possible through two different ways:

  1. UPSEE Counselling: The applicant must undergo UPSEE exam and register for the online counselling session where they need to mention NIET as their preferred choice
  2. Direct Admission: The aspiring students can choose to appear for NIET own aptitude test which comprises of Objective type Mathematics questions. Post aptitude exam, the shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview round

Further to either of the chosen admission method, the management screens the application forms along with the test scores and basis the overall profile of the students, the final selections are made. The test scores should match the criteria of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) also.

Q: What are the various BTech specialisation options available to students?

Q: What is the total cost of the four-year BTech program at NIET, Greater Noida?

A: The total cost of the four-year BTech program at NIET, Greater Noida is Rs 4.54 lakh which includes a security deposit of Rs 15,000 which is refundable at the end of the curriculum, a One-time registration fee of Rs 4,300, One-time student welfare fee of Rs 10,000 and TBL charges worth Rs 1,000.

For students willing to opt for accommodation benefits on campus, there is an additional cost that varies between Rs 70,900 to Rs 1.20 lakh depending on the type of room requirements. These charges include the Room rent, Mess advance and Medical insurance

Note: Fees of the institute is likely to be revised on the recommendations of the fee committee of U.P. Govt. If the fee is revised, students will be liable to pay the differential amount to the institute immediately.

Q: Do you offer any scholarships or financial assistance to students?

A: NIET does recognise the merit performance of students and accordingly rewards them with scholarships.

There is a special scholarship for female students according to which students with a minimum aggregate of 60 per cent in Class 10, 12 and Graduation will be rewarded with a scholarship worth Rs 1 lakh.

Apart from this, students can apply for an education loan. The admissions department will provide them with complete assistance in the documentation process.

Q: Can you share some recent year placements statistics?

A: The placements are the most crucial factor that defines the performance of any institute. At NIET, we have a dedicated placements department that works throughout the year to strengthen our corporate relationships. We have almost all leading and renowned recruiters actively participating in the placements season every year.
