Q:   How TNEA ranking is given?

A: 

In TNEA 2024, after normalising marks scored by candidates (across all boards), the final merit list followed by the TNEA rank list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths Physics and Chemistry which is reduced to 200 Maths 100, Physics 50 and Chemistry 50). After the normalisation of marks in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by different Boards, the qualified students shall be merged into a common merit list. The overall rank and community rank are published on the official TNEA website. A week is reserved for addressing applicants grievances after the publication of the rank. In case of grievances, applicants can contact the office of the Secretary, TNEA at the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai 600 025.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?

A: 

The JEE Main question paper will have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as per the prescribed syllabus. Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B. For each question in Section B.A. Candidate has to enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer.
