I am absolutely dissatisfied with placements.
Placements: There was no big or even mediocre company. Almost all students who got jobs through pooled campus or off-campus drives of companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, CTS, etc. The ones who couldn't make it through off-campus drives are still sitting jobless.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi isn't available for the majority of students. Labs are in poor condition, and most of the equipment is too old to work. Either the equipment doesn't work or they're full of errors. Classrooms are average-sized. The library has books, but they give old books only. If you need a new edition of some book, they'll provide old editions only.
Faculty: Very few teachers are experts in their field. Most don't have a proper grasp of the topics they teach, or they can't deliver them well even if they do. Students are not at all industry-ready. Their training's practical use in real life is pretty negligible. Exams are the same as exams for any average college.
Other: Before joining the course, I didn't have any idea about all this, nor was there anyone to guide me through it. I took electrical engineering as suggested by my tuition teacher. The best thing to do would be to make students industry-ready and not make them focus only on one theory. Fests happen once every two years.

Our college is good and value for money.
Placements: Placements are pretty average. The average salary package offered is 3.5 to 5 LPA. From the departments like computer science and IT, almost 90% of the students get placements each year. Still, from the electrical department, 50 to 60% of the students got placements. However, the record of off-campus placements is one of the best in Kolkata.
Infrastructure: There is a good quality canteen with all types of food items, and you can also get street food outside the campus as there are many stalls. All the classrooms have a Wi-Fi connection. The library is pretty well-designed with a huge collection of books, but books are not new as they are from the old syllabus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they help as a friend. Most of the teachers are young, and they know where students lack. They train students so that after they graduate, students would be ready for the job. There are many good experiments in our college.

Review of CIEM - Calcutta Institute Of Engineering & Management.
Placements: 50% of students got placed in my course. The highest package offered is 3.6 LPA, the average package is 2 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Cognizant, Deloitte, Concentrix etc. 40% of students got internships from our course in CESC and railway government of India. System engineer is the highest role offered in my course.
Infrastructure: I'm from the electrical department. My department's teachers are very friendly and helpful with our studies. We have an inbuilt Wi-Fi in our college. Labs are well-organised for use. The library has a huge collection of books to gain your knowledge. Our college doesn't have a hostel. We have two canteens in our college, and the food is good in quality and affordable. We have a big playground, and cricket and football tournaments are organised every year. We have a volleyball court on our ground. We have a common room with many indoor games like carrom, table tennis etc.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and helpful. They are highly qualified in their subjects and very knowledgeable. They always try to help us with proper guidance. Their teaching quality is unique. They like to teach us in many funny ways so that we can remember things easily. The course curriculum is very much relevant, and it makes students ready for the real world and industries.

Only advantage of this college is location otherwise nothing special.
Placements: I have enrolled in the B.Tech electrical course of the 2013-2017 batch. Hardly 15-20% of the students got placed via on-campus or pool campus placements. The highest salary package offered was almost 3 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 2-2.5 LPA. The only reputed company was Tech Mahindra. There was no such internship at any company. The top role offered was as a project engineer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average. Library, classrooms and labs are quite manageable, but there is nothing special to mention. There is no hostel in our college, but affordable PGs and rooms are available nearby. The canteen is also quite manageable. There is a medium playground for outdoor games.
Faculty: Teaching staff members of this college are average. Some faculty members are extremely helpful and friendly, like RC sir, etc. Some faculty members are very arrogant. There is nothing special about faculty members, and the quality of teaching is not very appealing. This course curriculum is related, but this course doesn't make students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course as I was interested in electrical. I would suggest improving infrastructure and faculty members. Nowadays, events and fests are not regular as earlier.

The college is in the heart of the city with well-connected metro and buses.
Placements: As we all know that many companies are now going for their off dives and AMCAT, CoCubes, so our college is providing CoCubes coaching for free. Small companies are also visiting here, but the current scenario is not good. However, they are trying to give jobs, but West Bengal scenario is also not good.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility available in our college is good. All computers are connected by LAN cables. Labs are equipped with instruments. The college provides hostel facility, but u can get a mess. There is a canteen which serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food for students. Classrooms are huge and, it can easily accommodate students.
Faculty: Faculty members in our department are very good. They have good knowledge of the subjects. Lab attendants also know about every experiment, and they help students.
Other: The college conducts fest and tech fest every year. Football tournament also conducted at our college.
