Candidate must satisfy at least one of the following two criteria with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the year of first appearance in the Class XII (or equivalent examination), i.e. in either 2023 or 2024: Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with a minimum of five subjects and with the mentioned marks in aggregate (65% for PwD candidates) from a recognized board. OR Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with minimum of five subjects and be within the category-wise (category as per the central list) top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination. Other mandatory Criteria: Candidate who had appeared in Class 12th or equivalent examination for the first time in 2022 or earlier, are NOT eligible to appear irrespective of the combination or number of subjects attempted/offered. Chance to explore IIT Dhanbad .

Placements: In my batch, about 82% of students were placed in my branch. The highest package of my branch was approximately 48 Lacs last year and on average, the package was 10-12 Lacs. As per my information, 60 to 70% of students got internships, and it changed based on other facts and requirements.

Infrastructure: The faculty of my branch are good; there are many teachers who interact friendly and take extra class to manage the academic course. In hostels there is free lane Wi-Fi and also free BSNL Wi-Fi on campus. Here, Asia's second-highest library is available for students who can prepare for any exams by self-study.

Faculty: Teachers are friendly and solve all doubts if you have any doubts related to the course. There are many teachers who graduated from different types of colleges with Ph.D.s in their field. The exam pattern is also good. There is 75% attendance mandatory for the exam.

Really good facilities and infrastructure along with above average placements.

Placements: About 70% of students were placed in my course last year. 56 LPA was the highest package offered, the lowest was 10 LPA, and the average was 14 LPA. Bajaj, Texas Instruments, JLR, BPCL, GAIL, etc. Analog and digital design engineer, Control engineer, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my department is very well made and organised, we have Wi-Fi facilities in each block and a 7-storey building for the library. The rooms of my hostel are well built and comfortable for a person to live in, all the hostel floors are provided with 4 Wi-Fi routers. The food available here is not so good as compared to the rooms. Students have to compromise sometimes in case of dinner and lunch. Medical facilities are well served here, the ambulance reaches as soon as possible and all the health-related checkups and medicines are free of cost. Sports facilities are good as well, we have two large grounds to play on and various badminton courts along with a gym and swimming pool.

Faculty: The teaching quality is excellent here as this is an IIT, and yea teachers are very helpful and well-qualified as well. Well, there are some courses offered considering the industry standards and the applications related to industry, so yes, they do make students industry ready. The exams are overall on the tougher side and the pass percentage cannot be decided as the grading is relatively among students.

I am really satisfied with my faculty and placements in 2023.

Placements: In the 2022-2023 batch, the overall placement percentage for B.Tech students was around 81.31%, while for Electrical Engineering students, it was 24%. The highest package offered was 51 LPA, the lowest was 8 LPA, and the average package was 20.49 LPA. Microsoft was a prominent recruiter.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are well-designed, providing a distraction-free environment for students. Labs are located in an academic complex where experiments are conducted. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel, college library, and labs. The mess offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, and the food quality is good.

Faculty: The faculty is excellent, very helpful, and supportive. They assist students not only academically but also in personal matters, offering motivation and guidance.

Other: I chose Electrical Engineering because I am passionate about the subject. I have always enjoyed doing electrical work at home, and I believe this course will be highly beneficial for my future.

However, the semester exams are hard compared to other colleges, and the pass percentage is between 25 and 30%. The pass percentage depends on the difficulty of the exam.
