IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA, and the minimum salary package offered was 5 LPA. Every year many companies offer jobs. Every year mainly 10-15% of students from our course get placed. Our college is famous for mining engineering in the whole world. Top recruiting companies like Google and Amazon visit our college to offer jobs every year.

Placements: About 75% of students were placed from electrical engineering, i.e., around 100 students got placed out of 135 students. The lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was above 30 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 10 LPA-11 LPA. Mostly IT sector companies visit here. Nearly 20% of students got on-campus internships.

Placements: The placement status at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad for mechanical engineering has been average. The highest package goes around 20 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package is around 5-6 lacs per annum. Prominent recruiters include Tata Steel, Adani, L&T etc. Campus opportunities are a bit less as not many companies come for the intern-hiring process, but students may apply for off-campus internships.

Placements: Our branch is mineral and metallurgical engineering which is newly introduced at IIT Dhanbad. The newly introduced branch is very much interesting. In our batch, there are 33 students only. Tata Steel, Adani, Aditya Birla, Vedanta, etc., are the companies that visit at the time of placements. Placements: Placement in petroleum engineering at IIT Dhanbad has been pretty nice. Around 70 to 80 % of students are placed in recent years. Top recruiting companies include ONGC, Cairn, ExxonMobil, etc. The average package offered varies from 10 to 15 Lacs. Cairn and ExxonMobil visit for hiring campus interns with a monthly stipend of about 35-40k.

Placements: Placements are good in this course. Around 60% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges from 8 LPA - 9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiters are JSW, PWC, NPCIL, and some consulting companies like Axxela, Futures First, Cubastion, etc.

Placements: From our college, more than 60% of students get placed every year. The highest salary packages are grabbed by students of the CSE department, which range from 70 LPA-80 LPA. Microsoft, Google, Wipro, Volvo, Infosys and many more companies recruit them. Software and app development roles are mainly focused here.

Placements: Internships are provided in companies like Microsoft, Google, etc., but only 10%-15% of students get them. The placement rate is about 70%, and there are decent placements. Core companies also visit here and hire students in mass recruitment. The electronics department is also much famous for research, so lots of opportunities are available for local students.

Placements: For internships, Intel visited the college last year. Coaching institutions like Aakash, Rao IAS, etc., and companies like Qualcomm, Intel, etc., visited the college. If you are interested in higher studies, a lot of positions come for JRF since this branch gets a lot of government projects.

Placements: In the current scenario, placements in our branch are not up to the mark due to COVID-19, and I hope in the future, conditions will be better. Currently, the average salary package offered for our course is around 6 LPA to 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our course are Tata Steel, Vedanta, Adani, Aditya Birla, etc.

Placements: Almost 80% of the students got placed in the last year. The minimum salary package offered is 7 LPA, the average salary package offered is 10 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 14 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel and Coal India. Almost 20% of the students got an internship in Tata Steel, and most of them also got low internships. Top roles are site manager, financial analyst, coaching teachers, etc.

Placements: In my course, more than 90% of students were placed and the top recruiters were CIL, UCIL and many more. The highest package was 15 LPA and the average was around 10 LPA. Almost every student who had a decent CGPA got an internship from my course in core companies.

Placements: The placement session starts in December. Some core companies have come to campus, but mostly they were IT companies. M.Tech Thermal is also eligible in core IT companies for placements, but you must have sound knowledge of computer languages. Top recruiting companies this year are Vedanta, Phone Pe, and Adobe. Every year 20 to 40% of the students get placed from college.

Placements: 70 percent placement in B.Tech Mechanical. The highest package - 14.4 LPA, the lowest - 4.5 LPA and average - 8 LPA. Prominent Recruiters are ISRO, Tata Steel, Adani, Thyssenkrupp, HPCL, CIL, Aditya Birla, L&T, Aarti Industries etc. 30-40% of students got internships. GET and MT positions are provided.

Placements: Overall placement percentage was 70%, including non-core companies like PhonePe and Microsoft. The highest salary package offered is 43 LPA by Microsoft, and the average salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, PhonePe, Sprinkler, Vedanta, Tata Steel Limited and Amazon.

Placements: Around 50% of the students got placed in our branch. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top Recruiting companies for our course are ZS Associates, KPMG, PWC and Orica Mining. Around 30% of the students got an internship, and 4 of them got an internship in Volvo Construction Equipment.

Placements: About 68% of the students got placed this year, and the placement scenario affected due to coronavirus. In the previous year, about 85% of the students got placed. The salary package offered ranges between 5-14 LPA. Top recruiting companies like HPCL, CIL, Tata, Maruti Suzuki, Futures First, L&T, etc., visit our college for placements. Placements: In our college placements for our branch were good. Out of 55 students 45 students got placed. The highest package was 44 Lacs and the lowest is 11 Lacs per annum. Companies like ONGC, schulmberzer, reliance etc. Are the top recruiters. Almost 80 percent students got internship. Mainly the top roles offered are drilling engineer, reservoir engineer.

Placements: IN MY COURSE 41 students out of 55 students were placed in various companies. The highest salary is 43 Lacs and the least is 11 Lacs. Companies like schulum buzer, ongc, reliance etc. are the top recruiters. The roles are as reservoirs engineer, drilling engineer. 70 percent got the internship.

Placements: 90 percent of the students were placed in my course till now. But the thing is the students are placed mostly in software related companies despite pursuing Electronics branch. Average Package is decent and it is around 8LPA. The highest package is 44 CTC. The minimum base salary a company provides for an IIT student is 6 LPA. So That has to be minimum.
