Review of Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: Everyone got placed and some got PPO as well. The highest salary package was 80 LPA, the lowest salary package was 10.8 LPA and the average salary package was 13.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nestle, Britannia, and Pepsi. Around 50% got internships from CDC, the remaining people went for off-campus internships and some took projects under esteemed professors. The top roles offered are Food Officer and Agritech Innovators.
Infrastructure: All the hostels have sufficient amount of infrastructure. Facilities like Wi-Fi and library are accessible to all. It has the largest library in India. Good quality facilities are available in the hostel, the food quality is not so good, although there are night canteens which serve good food. We have 2 hospitals, although medical facility is not so good. There are proper courts for every sport one can think off.
Faculty: Some teachers are strict, but most of them are lenient and teach a bit fast. They have very good knowledge in their field. The course curriculum is designed very carefully. You can take additional/Micro/Minors in other subjects as well. College trains students well to become industry ready as well. Exams are easy if you study the previous year's questions carefully that are easily available from seniors. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: The course I have chosen is available only at IIT. The best part is its scope is increasing day by day. More career options related to the core could be improved in the future and are happening gradually. Every day there is an event going-on on the campus. We have two fests, the SpringFest which is the cultural fest, and Kshitij the annual techno-management fest, the largest fest of any IIT. Departments have their fests as well. The crowd is good with a total of 16,000 people on campus, including Ph.D. and M.Tech students as well. Some areas have connection problems but are very less. Campus is the largest in India with around 2200 acres. A lot of scholarships are available. Extracurricular activities like NSS, NSO, NCC, and NCA were recently added.

This college is good and worth it.
Placements: In our college, the placements scenario is good this year. One of our seniors gets placed in Optiver with a package of 2.4 crores. The highest salary package offered is 1.6 crores. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are good, but the food is average. All the sports facilities are world-class standards, and students get very high-speed internet. The mess food is decent but the night canteen food is excellent. In one room, 3 students can stay.
Faculty: IITs academic curriculum is more difficult than a normal engineering college, but the professors are very friendly and motivating. Research facilities are of world-class standards and the learning that students will get from interacting with professors. Hence the curriculum of this college is very good.

IIT of joy - IIT Kharagpur.
Placements: As per last year's statistics, 68.75% of students get placed with the highest and minimum package of 33 and 8.5 Lacs, respectively. The average package was 17.96 lacs, and the median package was 16.50 lacs. Companies like Nestle, Britannia, etc. come every year for placements. Approximately 30 to 40% % students get internships in companies like Nestle, Britannia, etc.
Infrastructure: IIT KGP has great infrastructure with all facilities; my department has AC classrooms with modern projectors to teach. Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus, and at the same time, library facilities are also good. We have a central library that has all the useful books. Free bus and medical services are provided inside the campus. The hostel provides all required facilities, including sports, proper electricity supply, furniture, etc. But mess food is below average.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful; you approach them first and are well qualified. A few teachers are involved in some research. They thought so as well. Yes, the curriculum is relevant for my industry but a little modification is required. Marking is relatively new, so their are no fixed passing criteria. Their are two major exams in a semester, mid-semester and end-semester. Some courses are very tough and some are medium. Overall, the semester is above average.
Other: I chose this course because it is related to my culture and I was looking for the top 5 IITs while counseling and as per my rank, I got this. The best thing about this course is that it is not a loaded branch, so we can get a lot of free time to skill up ourselves. A new and advanced farming method should be thought of. Various events and extra activities happen yearly, like Malhar, NSSC, shaurya, Indian case challenge, etc. Two major festivals—Kshitij, a technical fest and Springs Fest—happen in January every year.

Our college provides all opportunities for everything.
Placements: Placements at IIT KGP are really nice. Most of the students got placements from here. The highest salary package offered in the last year was 2.2 crores per annum. The average salary package offered is 14 LPA. For internship opportunities, reputed companies like Microsoft, etc., visit the campus.
Infrastructure: As I have not visited the campus due to lockdown because of Covid-19, I don't know much about them. However, our college provides great infrastructure, as I have learned. I have seen the laboratories, and they are really good. They provide all things which we need for our study.
Faculty: The teachers here are really very helpful. They solve all our problems in academics and non-academics to the best of their will. They solve all our doubts in the class. Semester exams are based on what you have studied, and if you studied, then you will perform well.
Other: The course of agricultural and food engineering is really different from many courses of today's world. Nowadays, every student wants to get the computer science thing, but our course is different and provides different career opportunities. This branch always has scope.

IIT Kharagpur, estd 1951, the Mother of All IITs.
Placements: Around 1700 out of 2300 students were placed last year. The highest package was around 1 crore off-campus, while the lowest was around 8-10 lakhs. The average stands at 15 lakhs. Top companies include Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Accenture, etc. SDE roles, quant roles, analyst roles, and consultant roles are offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and WiFi facilities are available throughout the time. Classrooms are well-furnished and air-conditioned. There are good facilities for all games in the hostels and campus as well. There is a large library which also has a national digital library. The library is very large and has around six halls where the entire campus can sit.
Faculty: The curriculum is good and revised periodically. The faculties are well-read, with post-docs in US universities and a structured way of teaching. The semester exams are easy and can be done well in 2 days of study. Some parts of the curriculum are old, like engineering drawing, but continuously, the curriculum is revised and new subjects are added.
Other: We have Spring Fest (founded in 1960), which is Asia's largest social and cultural festival; its 65th edition was held in 2024. There are sports fest Shaurya, tech fest Kshitiz, and the Global Entrepreneurship Summit every year.
