Brilliant infrastructure and campus life.
Placements: Placements were really good and the package offered to students was quite impressive. The maximum package offered was 30 Lacs, and the average package size was 14 Lacs per annum. Internships were available for students in every semester and above 75% of students got placements from the campus. The placement cell is very responsive.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good, and the hostel premises have an amazing environment. All types of facilities like Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs with computers, modern architecture, and all other facilities were provided to students. Sports and medical facilities were also available for the students.
Faculty: Faculty at IIT Kharagpur were well-educated and sophisticated, but they were quite rude towards the students and didn't help them with their problems regarding the curriculum. Teaching quality is good, but students need to purchase extra courses for qualifying exams. Semester examinations are tough, and questions are application-based.

Very satisfying faculty and facilities.
Placements: There are about 75 percent of the students who were placed in my course. The highest package was 16 lacs, the average package was 10 lacs and the lowest package was 5 lacs. Many reputed and popular companies came to our college for recruitment and several students got internships.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and labs are very clean and comfortable with proper air ventilation. A vast collection of books is available in the library. WiFi facilities are also present. The hostel rooms are good. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is very hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and cooperative. They are enough knowledgeable and experienced. The teaching quality is very satisfying. Our course is curriculum-relevant. The semester exams are difficult if not studied properly throughout the year and the pass percentage was about 65 percent.

Good academics, the biggest campus, good infrastructure, and nice faculty.
Placements: This year (2023-2024) placement is bad; the placement rate is 60 percent. This year, the highest package was 42 lakh per year. The lowest package was 6 lakh per annum. The top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Jaguar, etc. 15 percent of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is decent, like the Wi-Fi connection, which is overall good. Classrooms have AC and some classes have soundproof walls. Our college library is one of the biggest libraries, and every type of study content is available in our library. Food quality for some days is good and for other days it is bad. Medical facilities have nice knowledge of their field. Sports and games are very developed and also have high-quality coaches.
Faculty: Our teachers (professors) have high-quality knowledge and also have research experience and their teaching quality is helpful. Semester exams are difficult but in our college, there is a relatively grading system available (in a relatively grading system, our grades come through relatively to others). Due to this, we can easily get good grades. Pass percentage: based on the relative to other .
Other: Batch capacity: a total of 20 batches are available and every batch has 90 students. Events: events are very common in our college, but there are three big festivals: (1) springs fest, (2) kshitij-tech fest, and (3) Megalith ( the biggest fest for civil students). Campus crowd: including all members (workers, students, and professors ) of our college. Scholarship: A scholarship is given on the basis of family income. Extra academic activity: NSS, NCC, and NSO NCA.

Placements are the best factor.
Placements: Internships are offered by various companies here. Many students apply for gsoc and other such opportunities while some apply for internship at foreign universities. Most circuital branches have a good record of internship while core branches do not have a good internship score. Students get eligible for placements from their last year. The highest package offered are up to 2 crores for some candidate.
Infrastructure: Some hostels are not up to the mark here. Food quality in hostels is bad to the point where students prefer having maggi to eating at the mess. A typical room has all the facilities you can except in the hostel room. The registration process is short and doesn't take much time.
Faculty: Exams are difficult as we have to study hard to score good marks. The exams occurred every now and then in my first semester and they required good practice of concepts covered to ace them. Faculty members are very experienced they all have their working projects and active projects. There is lots of things to learn from the faculty members of our college. We can also work with them by taking their consent.

Glimpse of IIT Kharagpur in 2025.
Placements: Approximately 60 percent of students are placed in the civil department. The highest package is around 40-50 lacs per annum, the average is approximately 12 lacs per annum, and the lowest package is around 4 lacs per annum. Around 20 percent of students get on-campus internships.
Infrastructure: In this college, Wi-Fi is available and runs very well. The lab room is old but all the instruments in that lab are new and work very well. The classroom is very well. In the main library, all types of books are available. One special thing is that at IIT Kharagpur, all types of sports are played and available in a good space.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful and some teachers are very rude. I think this course curriculum is relevant. When I talk about difficulty in semester exams, in some subjects, you will feel it is very hard and in some subjects, you feel it is so easy so it is dependent on the subject. Approximately 50 percent of the students pass in some semesters but in some semesters approximately 80 percent of the students pass.
Other: After taking this course, we take the examination to get IES and IAS and we also apply for core and tech also.
