Satisfied with the faculty and placements, campus life is good, and overall a solid 4.5/5.
Placements: Placements, of course, are appreciable and assuring. The number of students placed every year is one of the highest in the country. Last year itself (2023), about 90% of students were placed from my branch (Instrumentation Engineering) with an average of about 20-25 LPA, while the highest being 70-80 LPA. Of course the pay can vary from branch to branch, but overall placement opportunities are very assuring here.
Infrastructure: As far as the infrastructure is concerned, IIT Kharagpur provides one of the finest facilities in the country. There are 13 boys and 3 girls in the hostel here. The rooms are spacious. Security is good as well; there are cameras all over, and guards stay on guard 24/7. The only reason I am giving this a 4/5 rating is the mess. Though the food is not completely unbearable, the hygiene seems to be compromised a little.
Faculty: Faculty indeed is top tier. As far as the curriculum and exams are concerned, the opinion might vary person to person. Though I think everyone will agree that the curriculum is pretty burdening. Well, what would you expect from an IIT after all? Competition is high; exams are accordingly difficult. However, the CGPA is distributed relatively, so that mustn't be a concern if one starts studying at least a week before the exams commence.

Great course in a good college.
Placements: Almost 80-90 percent of students are placed. The rest either go for higher studies or don't sit for placements. The highest salary goes to around 70-90 LPA, the lowest around 5-10 LPA, and the average is around 25 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Texas Instruments, Nvidia, and Amazon, etc. About 50 percent get internships, and the companies are the same as the recruiting ones. Top roles offered are software engineer, electrical engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: We are in the Electrical Department, which has its own infrastructure. We do have campus Wi-Fi, a library with books in all fields, and great classrooms and labs. The quality of food varies from hall to hall, but it is decent in all. We have all the sports grounds and free medical facilities.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers are helpful and well-qualified. All professors are masters of their courses. The course curriculum was updated this year, making students industry-ready. Some courses' semester exams are tough, while some are easy. Almost everyone passes the exams.
Other: Events and fests are organised throughout the year which are fun. You won't get bored here.

Absolutely satisfied with college life, and the campus is really huge.
Placements: The placements here are really good. The average package ranges from 10-13 LPA. The average package for CSE, MnC ranges from 18-20 LPA. In the electrical engineering department, the average package ranges from 14-16 LPA. For other branches, it's a little bit low, but overall, the placements are really good. You should definitely go for IIT Kharagpur if you can get it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, and some halls are really good while some are not much good. Most of the halls have 3-seaters for first-year students, and in 2nd year, the hall is changed, then mostly 2nd years also get 2 seater or 3 seater rooms. Only a few halls have single rooms for each student.
Faculty: The faculty members are really good and qualified. Some professors are very good, and they are friendly with students, while some faculty members aren't much friendly. The course curriculum is really good. In the first year, each branch students have to study the same subjects, and from the 2nd year, students have to study the subjects of their courses.

It is one of the best IITs that produces the cream of India.
Placements: The total batch size appearing for placements is approximately 1300 students. The percentage of students who got placed in my batch is 98%. The highest package offered is 30 LPA, the lowest package is 10 LPA, and the average package is 16 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments and Intel. The percentage of students who got internships is 90%. The top roles offered are software engineer and electrical engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities available in our department are average as the machines are a bit outdated and do not function well, but they keep renovating the labs. As the number of students available in the courses is high, we are divided into groups of 3-4 students to perform experiments. The hostels in IIT Kharagpur are known as Halls of Residence, as we truly say, IIT Kharagpur is our 2nd home, or home away from home. We have around 23 Halls of Residence named in terms of various freedom fighters. Most of the halls have good facilities in terms of food, staying, hall activities, sports, cultural and technical activities, but some halls have a low capacity and lack big halls. We have a dedicated hospital called BC ROY Technology Hospital.
Faculty: To be frank, not all the teachers are very helpful, but some are understanding and helpful. They are experienced teachers, but some are outdated and restricted to the traditional teaching method, with 100% attendance in class. They keep changing the course content to adapt to the industry trends but are not very frequent.
Other: As per my rank in IIT JEE, I was offered IIT KGP in terms of old IITs as I did not want to join the newer IITs, and I am happy to be the alumnus of this prestigious college. I had made great friends for life. In terms of events and fests, I can assure you IIT KGP is one of the best, as we have the largest techno-management festival called Kshitij and the largest social-cultural fest called Spring fest. These two fests are a life line of every student.

There are good placements, really good infrastructure, etc.
Placements: About 80% of the students got placed from our course. Google, Amazon and other MNCs visit here for placements. About 70% of the students get internships from here. Some of the students get placement offers with salary packages of crores. But all these offers are provided outside India only but not in India. You will have a new way of leading life through this amount of experience.
Infrastructure: I have not seen this type of infrastructure in any other Indian college. Green boards are very good, and all the lecture halls are highly air-conditioned. The quality of the food served in the mess is not satisfactory, but you will get good food in the canteen. There is a very good environment for sports, and our college organises inter hall competitions.
Faculty: All the teachers here are very helpful and qualified. They help us beyond our expectations. You can use learned ideas in the project and finding innovative solutions to problems. The course curriculum is very much relevant, but students do not take it seriously. So, students should consider it seriously.
Other: I have chosen this course as there are good placements and internships in MNCs. I think our college should make us learn somewhat coding to improve chances to get placed in MNCs. There is a good competitive environment.

If you go to JEE notice, there is a specific year of a gap after 12th standard after which you can't take JEE exam. Also, there is a maximum number of attempts. So it depends on how many times you have taken JEE, how many years since you finished your 12th class and also you're age.
