IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: From my department, all of them got placed by the end of placement phase 1. The highest package offered was INR 2.3 crores per annum, and the lowest was INR 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Databricks, Amazon, Flipkart, Accenture, DTL, etc. 95% of the students in my course got internships. The top roles offered for my department are software engineer, data analyst, software tester/QnA, and quantitative analyst.

Placements: Our college does not provide non-core placements. Our college provides good placements and internships for UG courses.

Placements: In our college, almost 81% of students are placed. The salary package offered is 15 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 2.64 crores per annum. Almost 15% of students received pre-placement offers. Nearly 75% of students are placed in core sectors. Top roles offered are in software development, business, and finance-related jobs. There were enough opportunities in core companies but most of the students prefer non-core jobs to get high salary packages. Around 95% of students got placed in our college. Top roles offered were SDE, consulting, product management, etc.

Placements: The placement percentage for CSE at IIT Kharagpur is almost 95%–100%. The highest salary package offered is about 2 CPA, and the average is around 28 LPA. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Google, Microsoft, Graviton Trading, Jane Street, and World Quant participate in placements. Most students prefer SDE roles.
