Review of Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: Since I was pursuing M.Sc in physics, most of the students prefered to pursue higher education instead of jobs. Many of my classmates took admission to reputed universities for their PhD in India as well as abroad. Some of them got placed in teaching organisations like Byju's, Vedanta, Unacademy, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department and library is just awesome. Hostels are old-fashioned and congested. Sports facilities are awesome, and there are playgrounds for many games like cricket, football, basketball, etc. Our college has a well-equipped gym and swimming pool. The food served in canteens is good enough.
Faculty: Every faculty member in IIT Madras is highly educated and qualified. They are very good in their fields and have better methods of teaching. Course work is designed perfectly for each programme, and labs are equipped with modern instruments. Semester exams are quite tough, and you need to prepare very well if you want a good grade in your course.

The institute is up to the NIRF-1 rank and is consistently holding it for the last 6 years.
Placements: A lot of companies for every branch with a wide range of requirements visit the campus. People with different interests have a very good opportunity to look for options in their field of interest. The management is also good, and the institute is good enough to attract many companies.
Infrastructure: We have very well-maintained hostels with clean and good rooms. electricity is available 24X7 and we also have LAN and water supply. The institute, even though situated in the heart of Chennai city, has a very natural environment with lots of trees, deers, black bugs, and many other species roaming freely on the campus.
Faculty: The course is exceptionally good and we have a well-framed timetable for classes and exams and everyone follows it strictly. Professors are very helpful and have an intense level of teaching with good real-life problems in exam sheets. Everyone is free to ask doubts, and there are separate TAs assigned to every course for doubt solving.

I am satisfied with good infrastructure, facilities, and teachers.
Placements: Among 43 students only 15-20 have applied for placements and 2 or 3 of them get placements in our class. There are not much chances of placements when they are doing M.Sc. physics. Although they will get the chance to apply to tech companies in IIT Madras, but most of the time students feel that it does not fits them in terms of skills and courses. The average salary pacakge offered ranges from 8 LPA - 10 LPA for M.Sc. physics. Top recruiting companies are Byju's, Vedantu, and a few others. Around 15-20 students among 43 students get internships opportunities in research institutions like TIFR, ICTS, IIST, IISc, etc., department legislator and placement co-coordinator.
Infrastructure: The facilities are satisfactory in terms of seating arrangements, Wi-Fi access. There is a beautiful library where students will get to see a different set of arrangements on different floors. Laboratories and classrooms are very well managed by technicians and modern equipment is available. In the hostel, students will get 2 or 3 seated rooms in the first year than in the second year, students will get a single room. Rooms are well arranged and infrastructure is good. Students will get LAN connection spot in room to avail internet facility. There are two types of mess i.e North Indian and South Indian and food is satisfactory. Canteen is very diverse and good in terms of quality. Here is a hospital where senior doctors will be assigned to students depending upon their problems and they can go for regular check-ups using health cards and medicines are available at affordable prices. There is a cheap last cricket stadium where sports events take place and students can register for selection at the appropriate time. There is also a running track in Manohar C watsa stadium where students and professors use to run in the morning and evening and a swimming pool to learn swimming at an affordable price so overall students will be satisfied with the infrastructure they provide.
Faculty: Professors are very helpful and dedicated with excellent teaching styles, and they are easily accessible after the class also. Mostly I found the course to be relevant but as students know change is the only constant so I feel extra courses can be added or ordering of courses in semesters is important. In our stream, the course curriculum makes student research ready and the professor's contribution is massive. Semesters exams are moderate to difficult if students follow only the course taught in the class itself by heart. The pass percentage is 8.5 CGPA. All students need to do class assignments and keep track of what is taught in class. The pass percentage is around 88%. But if students get backlog, then they can appear for re-exams at the end of the final semester.

The college is like gold dug in coal capital of India.
Placements: Students in applied physics don't really opt for placements after their course, as most of them are research-minded. Around 10 to 20 percent of the students are placed in coaching institutes like Akash, Fiitjee and many more with teaching profile. The salary offered is between 7 to 11 lacs per annum. In other departments, you will find really good placements in many government companies like ONGC, Coal India, Oil India, etc. giving students double-figure salary with benefits.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure compared to any other old IIT, is lacking behind, but many buildings are within the scope of completion. Buildings are given big names, for example, our new library is yet to open, and it is termed as 'India's largest' or 'Asia's second largest library'. Medical facilities and sports facilities need to be improved, efforts are being made on that. A new lecture hall was made for conduction of the classes.
Faculty: The teachers are very highly qualified and helpful in professional as well as personal matters. Every faculty has their own teaching mechanism. As we are having a research-based subject, teachers try to indulge us in activities that increase the interest for research. The curriculum is really flexible, students can add and subtract important topics based upon their interest.
Other: The fest in one word is awesome. The campus crowd is a bit studious one. You won't find people roaming around, you will always find them at the library. Scholarships are provided for the weaker section who has an annual income of less than five lacs and freeship to many students.
