Yes, candidates can get admission to MTech course at IIT Madras without GATE scores. To secure a seat at top BTech specialisations at IIT Madras, candidates must qualify for JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced with a good rank. Candidates who passed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate are eligible to sit for the respective entrance exam. Candidates will be selected based on their past academic records and scores obtained in the respective entrance exams. Furthermore, the selected candidates will be allocated seats through the JoSAA Counselling process.

Q:   Can I get admission to M.Tech at IIT Madras if my rank is between 700 and 750?

A: 

To get admission at IIT Madras for MTech courses, candidate must qualify the GATE exam. The IIT Madras GATE Cutoff 2024 for the General AI candidates was ranged between 492 and 877. Therefore, it is quite likely that at the cutoff of 700-750, candidate can get admission to MTech courses. However, the choice of course would depend on the last-round closing rank of that particular course.
