IIT Madras is the top engineering college in India.
Placements: Students are eligible for campus placement from seventhsemester. Many MNCs like Google, Microsoft, Goldman, JP Morgan etc. visit every year. The highest package in 2020 was around 2 crores and the average package was 25 lakhs. Percentage of placement for CSE branch is 100%. I've decided to work for an MNC after getting a degree.
Infrastructure: The college campus was very good. The seniors of the college were quite professional. The college follows a no-ragging policy strictly. The college infrastructure was excellent. The college library was huge and had all kinds of knowledgeable books and international journals available from all around the world. The college classrooms were well designed and maintained. IIT Madras had a total of 19 hostels of which 4 hostels were girls and 15 were boys hostels. IIT Madras hostel was termed the luxurious hostel of India. The hostel had 24 hours of Wi-Fi facility free of cost.
Faculty: The curriculum of the college was the latest and followed all types of industrial developments. The curriculum helped to know about the latest industrial changes, in short, it kept us up to date. Most faculty members were Ph.D. degree holders and they had very good industrial experience. The faculty is the one that helps us during every step of the placement. The faculty teaching methods are very good and proper combination of traditional and modern technology was used to impart knowledge.
Other: IIT Madras is the top engineering college in India and I have worked very hard to get into the college. The college has 17 departments, 14 research centres, and a Continuing Education Programs Centre (CEP). The admission in the college is through the JoSAA counselling and after clearing my JEE exam students have to appear for JoSAA counselling to secure seats in the college. I was able to make it into the college.

Absolutely satisfied with the college's impact on students.
Placements: About 100% of placements are provided. Some students already got PPOs. The highest package offered was about 1.8 Crore per annum, and 9 crore in-hand by Uber International. 100% internships are provided. Many companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, Jaina Street, and many others come here to offer internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is very good with a speed of 270 mbps all over the campus. Due to covid, the library has restrictions on Sunday. Other than constraints, it is huge and good with all books available. It is a good place to study. Food and everything here is good. Everything is available.
Faculty: The teachers are very experienced in our course. They explain in a detailed way. The curriculum really helps students. Papers are made such that 40% of paper can be done by any student. The remaining depends on your hard work. The pass percentage is about 90% because the students are really hardworking and lecturers help in clearing their doubts.

I am very satisfied with the quality of education and nice placements offered in 2015-2016.
Placements: I remember that about 78 students got placed from our course. The highest salary package offered was 70 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was Rs. 80,000 per month. The top recruiters here were Microsoft, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, Cisco, Bajaj Autos and many more. The top course offered here is M.Sc computer engineering.
Infrastructure: There was a huge library of a football stadium size with air-conditioners, free Wi-Fi and proper sanitation. The classrooms were not very neat and clean. The bathrooms were like any moderate bathroom, but their walls were scribbled with pens and bad. The mess was good, but the food served in it was not good. There was a doctor and a nurse. Sports were not at all available.
Faculty: The teachers here were excellent, and their medium of teaching was way more advanced. They taught through projectors and whiteboards. The curriculum makes students ready to face anything. It is IIT, so exams are difficult. The passing percentage was 75% for general, OBC and NCL category students and 70% for SC, ST and PWD category students.
Other: My parents forced me to choose this course, so I chose it. However, it was quite fun to pursue this course, and I made many friends and had some really fun experiences. If the language used to teach was strict, it would be better.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is of great speed though the quality of mess, canteen isn't that great. Sports and games and medical facilities are very good. The mess doesn't serve good food though. The library is very great. It has AC, though the hostels aren't that good.
Faculty: Course and faculty are very talented and very great. All have their research papers and they are very great in teaching too. There are many courses offered and students are given quite an option irrelevant of their branch to. Choose from the different courses available.

Admission to IIT Madras for B.Tech CSE is based on the JEE Advanced score. However, there are other ways to get admission to IIT Madras without JEE Advanced score. One way is through the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme which is for foreign nationals and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
