Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

B.E. in Information Technology - Batch of 2023
Offered by M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering
2.4

I am not satisfied because of placement.
Placements: Placements are average; many service-based companies visit the campus. In 2023, almost 25+ companies visited the IT CS branch, but hardly 20 companies hired 1-3 candidates. Big companies like Media, Net, and NVent also hire, but on a pool campus. Also, more than half of the 2023 batch is still unplaced. There are no internship opportunities provided to final and pre-final year students. This is because of the attendance policy.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good due to a lack of maintenance. Many PCs in the lab are not working, which motivates students to code even in their free time as well as during practicals. You won't believe that installing and setting up VsCode and Android Studio takes 2-3 practicals. But recently, I visited the college in 2024 to collect lower semester marksheets, and I found that the labs were completely changed. They installed new PCs, and the old ones were removed.
Faculty: The faculty is very good and understanding; they help students in every aspect of exams and academics. Coming to the knowledge of the faculty: indeed, they have huge knowledge, but MU's frequently changing syllabus makes the teachers' job even harder. MU includes a new syllabus (mixed) that doesn't make sense. One teacher has to forcefully teach 4-5 different subject domains. We can't blame the teachers. One teacher I met who is really kind and humble is Dr. Jilani Sayyad. If you get admission, then don't forget to meet him once.
Other: There are some festivals conducted in between the semesters, but there is no coding culture at all here.

Decent college for students who can't get into a good college.
Placements: Placements are average; many service-based companies visit campus, but this year (2023), not many companies visited for hiring. Also, those that visited hired students in low quantities. Many companies had a short bond period and low salaries. Only some companies (Nvent, Media Net, etc.) visited that were actually good. Also, more than half of the 2023 batch is still unplaced. There are no internship opportunities provided to final- and pre-final-year students. Also, a student cannot do a long-term internship on their own due to the attendance policy. If you have low attendance, teachers and staff will treat you like spoiled students and create nuisances during submission and final viva exams.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not up to par. Many devices in labs are not functioning. Even printers in some labs are not working. Each lab has around 30 students, and there is only one printer that is not working when needed. Also, PCs in some labs are slow.
Faculty: Faculty are very good and understanding; they help students in every aspect of exams and academics. The staff and clerks are not helpful; they make us run from one office to another to get simple work done. However, final-year students don't even know the fundamentals of their field yet. The curriculum knowledge is only respected until that semester.
Other: There are some fest conducted in between the semesters, but there is no coding culture at all here. If you wish to have a good or at least above-average career in the IT field, then you will have to be a self-taught learner and learn coding and development on your own.

It's a good college overall.
Placements: I am still in SE in college and studying, but I think at least 20 out of 60 will be placed. It is good; I think we'll be capable of getting a good offer. The top internship offered, I don't know, but the top packages offered were six to eight LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really good. Facilities are provided to students. We can also use the libraries for free by making a card and can use it for as much time as wanted.
Faculty: Some teachers are really exceptional, but not everyone. Each needs to improve in its skill.
Other: The fest is a great thing and is organized at a huge level.

I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: Around 90% of students were placed in 2022. The highest salary package was 7.5 LPA and the average salary package was 3.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Hexaware, Zeus, etc. offer placements. The top roles offered are developers and associate developers.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is fine but needs to improve. No Wi-Fi but the classrooms are big and good canteen which is small. Labs have good configuration computers and air-conditioners in labs.
Faculty: Full support is provided by faculty. They are helpful, focus on practicals, and make you industry-ready. Exams are a medium level of difficulty. Students have to study hard for getting placed in any company.

Nice placements and amazing practicals.
Placements: Placements are really good for IT and CS branch almost all students who were eligible for different companies and seated in placement got placed in big tech companies like LTI, TCS and Wipro. Not only that also other startups and other small companies recruit from the college.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were nice and labs was also really great and the practical conducted was excellent the college's library which has lots of books in a great and readable condition if you belong to other non circuit branches placement is really tough for you. As the first priority of every companies are circuit branches. And about the placed students most of them got the package of 3.5 LPA which is most companies offer for freshers.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified some of them were Masters degree holder and some of them were even Ph.D. holder the teaching quality was really nice and very practical one, about the course curriculum it was outdated actually its from Mumbai university so we cant do any thing about the industry ready part some of subjects such as SQL and Java are really important for solving any competitive programming so its was taught well but its again all up to the students how much they take that seriously.
Other: Annually college fest is conducted and many events also takes place but since covid-19 nothing is happening as everything is online.
