Review of Model Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Though there are no many opportunities for core branches, the percentage of students who get placed from IT and CSE departments is quite good. Companies offer an average salary package ranging from 2 LPA to 4 LPA, but it can be higher for some profiles like sales or other technical profiles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is satisfactory, and there are library and lab facilities. Students can access Wi-Fi facilities on computer systems provided in the library. As far as hostel facilities are concerned, I didn't find it suitable to reside in the hostel. I chose to stay in PG since the hostel facilities are not up to the mark.
Faculty: I think the course curriculum which most of the colleges provide doesn't make students industry-ready. You have to search for opportunities on your own, and our college does not take any responsibility for that. It may provide you with platforms where you can improve your skills and avail job opportunities.

I am glad to be a part of MIET.
Placements: The college placement cell works brilliantly to help students to get placed in reputed organisations like Capgemini, TCS, Cognizant etc. The college provides placement training, and a lot of effort is being put by the placement cell to ensure that every student finds his/her dream workplace.
Infrastructure: The college has the best infrastructure. The campus environment is good for both studies and sports activities. The quality of facilities on campus, including food in canteens, and medical facilities, is very good. We have one of the finest libraries with around 50,000 books for different courses.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good as our faculty members have in-depth knowledge of the subjects. Many of them have doctorates as well. I feel glad to be a student of MIET. Our course curriculum is very relevant and makes us ready for various placement drives.
Other: Campus life is amazing. You get lots of support from your faculty members and seniors as well. I chose electrical engineering as electrical engineers make an integral part of the workplace in all organisations. We have technofest known as Sammillan every year, which is one of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir.

Satisfied with teachers in the electrical branch.
Placements: 4% of students got placed in our course. The highest package offered is 6.5 LPA, the average package is 3 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. Chegg and TCS are the top recruiting companies for our course. All students from our course got online internships through Coursera.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well maintained, and the library has sufficient space and plenty of books. The labs have sufficient equipment for practicals. No Wi-Fi facility is available for students of the electrical branch. A dispensary is available on the campus. I did not opt for the hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teachers are always a helping hand and are ready to help us in every situation related to studies and career. Their way of teaching is brilliant, and it makes the students industry-ready.
