As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech.

To get a seat in BTech at NIT Calicut, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score. The final admissions to the institiute is based on JoSAA Counselling up to Round 6 followed by CSAB Counselling upto two Special rounds. The total tuition fee of the four-year BTech course offered at NIT Calicut is INR 5 lakh. Moreover, the total course fee shall include hostel fees of INR 3.43 lakh and a one-time fee of INR 30,500 as well. NIT Calicut admissions are entirely entrance-based for all its UG & PG courses. Candidates are shortlisted based on their past academic records along with their scores in the respective entrance exams accepted for different courses. Further, the institute also conducts GD and PI rounds for the final selection. Eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the respective entrance exams. The CAT exam is always conducted on the last Sunday of November every year so the CAT 2024 exam is expected to be conducted on Nov 24, 2024. Official announcement of the CAT 2024 exam date will be made by the convening IIM on Jul 30, 2024. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate (6.0 out of 10 CGPA) for SC and ST categories)  is the basic eligibility required to get admission to MBA at NITC. The aspirants shall further have a minimum of three-year work experience. Furthermore, all the documents such as bachelor’s degree, mark sheets, etc. are required at the time of admission for verification purposes.

Candidates with a BSc or equivalent UG degree with at least 60% aggregate or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% aggregate or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC/ST/PWD category) are eligible to apply for an MSc course of NIT Calicut. The aspirants must hold the UG mark sheets and pass certificates as proof of eligibility. The institute admits candidates only after document verification.
