    NIT Calicut: a short glimpse.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students got placed. The highest package is 55 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA and the average package is 14 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft and Google. Nearly 75% of students got internships, mainly in companies like Samsung.
Infrastructure: There are so many classrooms and different buildings for each department. There are also well-equipped and modern labs. There is also a great library with more than 1 Lakh books and with also a good collection of e-books. There are mainly 7 hostels on the campus.
Faculty: Almost 95% of the teachers have a Ph.D. as their educational qualification. The course curriculum is up-to-date and relevant to industrial needs. Semester exams are quite difficult. There are mainly 2 exams, mid-semester examination, and end-semester examinations.
Other: There are mainly two fests on the campus. One is the Science fest called ‘Tathva’ which is the largest tech fest in South India. And the other is a cultural fest called ‘Ragam’.

Review for National Institute of Technology Calicut.
Placements: The average package is around INR 7 lac per annum. Top roles included GET, Software roles, Analyst etc. The top recruiting companies include Hindustan Unilever Limited, Lam Research, Bajaj, Siemens, Nestle, Akash, Byjus, Base, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, PwC etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities include Wi-Fi, good classrooms, library, study rooms, labs, etc. The hostel is pretty good with various canteens. There is a health center which is free of charge for the students. Sports is given good importance here with various teams participating in the Inter NIT tournaments.
Faculty: The faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful. The course curriculum is pretty relevant and makes the students industry ready. Most of the courses include mini projects which help students to involve in team works. The pass percentage is usually 40% but it can vary depending on whether the course follows a relative grading policy.

College academics, facilities and infrastructure are good.
Placements: In 2023, 23 out of 37 students placed from production engineering branch with the highest package 12lpa, the lowest package 5lpa and average package was around 8-9lpa. Internships offered to production engineering. Students is very low (I guess only 2-3 students got internship on-campus). My advice for production students of NITC for placements is to go for teach placements or higher studies and not depend upon core placements.
Infrastructure: Good facilities and infrastructure is provided like fluid mechanics and machinery lab, production laboratory, CAD-CAE lab, big library, computer centre with high-speed Wi-Fi. Department building is very old so, classrooms are not good. Hostels are good. First years have share room with other 3 members (four sharing room). Wi-Fi is not good in hostels, only rooms nearer to Wi-Fi outer get good signal. Mess food is okayish. Food is one of the problems faced by Northies in this college. Sports facilities are good. Football, cricket, basketball, swimming, Yoga, badminton, kabaddi, volleyball and indoor games, all of these are played in this college. Institute charges mediclaim every year for medical facility provided to students like Health centre (with a MBBS doctor), ambulance and in case if a student is admitted in hospital for any medical emergency, he/she can claims the total bill from institute.
Faculty: Teachers are well- qualified and helpful also. Some faculty members have very good teaching qualities but few (my personal experience) are just reluctant as if they don't care students are understanding the concept or not, listening to them or not. Course curriculum provided is relevant and it can make a student industry ready also but the fact is companies hiring production engineers is low. You have to develop soft skills as well as hard skills to make company hire you. Getting good grades in semester exams are bit tough in comparison to other NITs as paper checking is very strict.
Other: I chose this course because I have interest in manufacturing and management. This course is 70% mechanical & 30% management. NITC has two fests- Ragam (cultural fest) and Tathva (technical fest). A lot of grouping is done in this college on the basis of language and state from where you belong. Home state students (malls) are dominant in all college activities as they are in majority. A lot of biasness happens during club induction and college events on the basis of your language. My advice for northies is to choose college in north india only because for standing out in thousand of student in which language bias is present, you have to be very extroverted and have some talent in you.

I am satisfied with its faculty members and placements.
Placements: Around 90% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 17 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The average salary package offered was 8 LPA. The campus placements are well managed and authorised by the training and placement team in this college.
Infrastructure: There are 9-10 hostels in this college. The infrastructure is good. The facilities are better. Wi-Fi is available. The food quality is decent.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in our studies. They are highly qualified and help in bringing good capability along with the studies. There are many workshops and experimental spaces for the students.

Absolutely not satisfied by strict decisions by administration!
Placements: We have a batch of 55! The highest in production goes to 18-20 Lacs and the lowest as 3-4 in hand. Bajaj, p and j, etc. Are the top recruiting. Internship is low! No one get easilyu2026In a batch of 50.30 people sit for placement! Aming them 20-28 get placed!
Infrastructure: There were no Wi-Fi at new mega hostel where 2 and 3rd year stays! Between now they are being planted ! There more than 7 mess veg non veg everything! I would bit suggest north indian to take this college for serious. Not for food but there is college life that uh guys expect here.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified even have degrees from foreign! If uh focus on everyday classes make notes read for an hour uh will have 9-10 cg u2026 neither uh will pass! Yes curriculum is damn tough but uh can pass easily before studying 10 days of your exams.
Other: I just chose production because I was needing for a branch with minimum loads! Now a days fest are been cancelled by our college neither fest were only the fun part in our college with big budget.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

    A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
