Average infrastructure, average facilities and good placements.

Placements: Placements in NITC, especially in Electrical & Electronics Engineering department are good but not as good as compared to NITs of north India. NITs there offer better packages to students even after the fact that the ranking of college is not better than NITC. The average package here offered is around 6-7 lakh per annum and the percent of students to get placed is around 70% which I think is getting lower year by year. A lot of good core companies come here like ABB, Schneider etc and a lot of...

Its ambience is awesome for peaceful studies and overall, all facilities are good.

Placements: The 2015 placements for EEE were decent and not great since NIT Calicut is located far south and less connected by flights. Around 68% students were placed on campus including software and core companies. The highest package is around 11 lakhs, the lowest will be 3.4 lakhs and the average salary is around 4.5 lakhs. SAP, ABB, ZS, Deloitte, Tata motors, Musigma, L&T etc. visited the college. HR, developers, analysts, data scientists etc are the roles offered. No internships were offered for th...

The college has good facilities for studying, especially lab equipment. Being a government college, it provides the latest equipment. The infrastructure is also great with a big and eco-friendly campus. Coming to the negative points, the only thing is about the staff of the hostel office and some lecturers. They believe that the college is their family property and we are there to use them.

It was a good experience. Knowing people from different backgrounds, and their interests towards the subject of study. The infrastructure was sufficient, albeit slightly outdated was relevant to study and explore. The library was well-stocked. The faculty relied on the enthusiasm of the students rather than spoon-feeding on information. This, in turn, led us to develop curiosity and pursue varied interests.

The institute is located roughly 20kms away from the heart of the city. Frequent buses are available towards the city, and institute bus is also available twice a day. The infrastructure is reasonably good. A well-equipped computing center and a good library are present. As far as a research student or anyone with a research focus is concerned, NIT Calicut is one of the best places in the country to be. There is access to almost every important journal. All faculty is well exposed to their res...

In addition to being one among the top 20 engineering colleges in India, I strongly believe that the faculty, the infrastructure and the ‘NIT’ tag can serve as your motivation to get into this college. Adding to that are the prestigious and highly sought after technical fest TATHVA and highly pompous cultural fest RAGAM (which is among the top 10 in India). With all the club activities and the festivals, the campus life will be fun filled.

NITC definitely has very good professors and labs for civil engineering. If you want to do your post-graduation, this college is a good option even though job opportunities for civil engineering graduates from NITC are pretty thin. The college has a good network of clubs for extracurricular activities. Attendance is stringent, a minimum of 80% attendance is needed to write an exam.

The campus infrastructure is average and is improving every day. The college has average placements and the average package is around rupees 5 lakhs per annum. The best placements are for CS and IT branches. The facilities and equipment for core branches are very less. The faculty is highly educated but lacks in delivering. The college’s 6 branches just got accredited by NBA this year. The fees of NIT have been increased to rupees 1, 25,000 and according to the fees, the college is not good e...

National Institute of Technology, Calicut is one of the most famed engineering institutes of India. An institute where study gets its due priority, anyone who is interested in getting good knowledge must definitely go to this place. Though, like any typical engineering college of India, facilities are bad. This college being in the interior of Kerala, the problem for North Indian students especially vegetarians is enhanced. Otherwise, studying in this place is a great experience. The teachers ar...

This is a good college in this region, with a good library, nice place, and excellent placements. The faculty members are good. Connectivity with the city is good. The hostel is average. The campus is very small. Overall, it is a good college and the crowd is good. The students can learn and enjoy in this campus. The college has a good ranking among other NITs and wonderful environment.

It is a college of national importance where people from different regions come and study. You get to interact with the cream of the country. The atmosphere here is very conducive in terms of academics and then one can indulge in various club activities. If you are a good participant, you can get a club membership also. Coming to the placements, they are decent enough. The weather and food are fine. The faculty over here is very interactive. They are very strict in the marking and attendance i...

NIT-Calicut is one of the oldest, most reputed institutes in India. Despite its ancient origin, the college provides immensely huge infrastructure as well as opportunities which help students grow and excel. The college provides a lot of facilities, from sports to well-equipped labs, clubs and activities, and various departmental as well as college fests. On the negative front, the college does not have a well-maintained hostel. It is way too cramped and should be taken care of.

It is one of the best colleges. Teaching is very good and effective. The faculty is very strict and respect deadlines and like students who respect deadlines. We get assignments almost every week, which should be submitted on time. But the only one problem is that we don't have good infrastructure here i.e. internet/Wi-Fi. MCA and M.tech students are not treated properly and are not provided with good infrastructure and facilities. All the facilities are given to B.tech students. The hostels a...

It has a great campus with a lot of natural beauty, it’s raining all the time. It has a good infrastructure, including a computer center and chemical engineering labs. There is poor internet connectivity in the hostels. Campus fests, especially Ragam - the cult fest are great with fantastic atmosphere and good performers. Batch size is a problem, especially for the new branches. It is an amazing place to make new friends for life.

NIT Calicut is one of the top 5 NITs in the country. The infrastructure is good with good quality labs and ample of machines in the workshop. Classes are interactive and professors are very helpful. Examinations are tough and one must have sufficient technical knowledge to get good marks. Placements are above national on average with a multiple number of core companies recruiting along with consultancy firms.

The college has a rigid curriculum which has not been revised since 2010 and they have some pretty outdated courses in EEE.
