Placements: Placements for CSE department are extremely good. My seniors had an average salary of 8-9 LPA and 90% of them have been placed. 25 LPA is the highest salary. Many of the famous companies such as J.P. Morgan, Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Direct I, etc. visited the campus. Not only my seniors but also 90% of my super seniors batch got a placement.
Placements: The placements were too good almost all (91%) got placed. The highest package is 20 lakhs and the lowest is 4.5 lakhs. Thorogood, Qualcomm, Oracle, Netcracker, JP Morgan, Deloitte, Tata Elxsi, Virtusa, Morgan Stanley, Goldmann Sachs, Mu Sigma, Schneider Electricals, NEC, Unisys etc visited for placements. Coming to roles, students got roles of Software Developer, Software Engineer, core electronics and business analyst etc. Internships were little bit low. Among all, around 30% students got inte...
Placements: For B.Tech it is having good placements. Top companies like Microsoft, Flipkart, to Amazon, Qualcomm etc are visiting the campus for placements. We have to maintain a healthy and balanced academic result throughout the course to get placed in top companies. Some companies use CGPA as a benchmark for filtering for further rounds.
Placements: For B.Tech, it had good placements but for M.Tech, if you perform well, you'll get placed in core companies and if not in core companies, many service oriented companies will recruit you. It is better to maintain good CGP in academics.
Placements: Placement is almost 100 percent every year. Placements are also offered to third years in the form pre placement offers after internship. Highest salary is around 24 lakhs per annum, lowest is 6.5 lakhs per annum. The average come around 11 lakhs per annum. Major companies visiting our campus are DirectI, Oracle, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Microsoft etc... Students are offered role as developers, data analyst, marketing managers etc... Talking about internship, this year 16 students got i...
It is known as an institute of national importance, and I feel it is rightfully so. In terms of placements and overall personality development, the college is second to none. It has some of the brightest minds in the country. The infrastructure needs to be developed owing to the fact that the college has been built long back and had not seen any major update in recent times with regards to academic infrastructure.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay, and labs of the computer science department are very well equipped with new technology and high-end systems. If you are thinking of opting for computer science, then you will not face any kind of problems regarding classrooms and labs. In addition, there is no restriction for lab timings; they are open for 24*7. Placements: The placements are also very good at this college. Average package is around rupees 9-10 lakhs per annum. The highest on-campus p...
The faculty is good. More involvement of students in decision making and resource handling. Good campus. Facilities include a gym, swimming pool, cricket ground, football ground, auditorium, an open air theater etc. The placement is very good with lots of MNCs visiting the campus for recruitment. For hostels outside the campus, bus facility is provided. The campus is lush green. It has an incubator for start-ups.
Pros: 1. The college has well-qualified teachers. 2. The teaching is good and slightly overloaded. 3. It has a good environment for studying. 4. There is a sporty environment. The students had one sport as a compulsory subject. 5. There were well-designed labs for each branch. Cons: 1. There is a compulsory 80% attendance 2. Punctuality is maintained even in the fourth year. 3. The college is situated far from the main city. 4. The hostel food is unhygienic.
The campus is one of the best you can get. But biotechnology is not something which even the college is proud. There is lot to improve in that side. Faculties won't care much about you inside the college and it's totally up to you to build your career. According to me, biotechnology will be better in research institutes rather than NIT.
The teaching is really good. Rules are followed very strictly, though. The place is beautiful throughout the year and is one of the most beautiful campuses ever. The locals are very friendly and helpful. Most professors are very experienced and teach well. The workshops are old but have almost all the equipment needed for a good college. The library is comprehensive and has almost all the books needed. The food places: mini canteen and main canteen are very cheap and serve decent food. Even th...
Placements: Placement was very nice. Many prestigious companies visited the college in the started session. Companies like Amazon, Deshaw, etc came with very high packages. Around 150 plus companies visited the campus at my time. If anyone is a little bit serious, he can easily get the placement in top MNCs.
This college is always in the top 30 best Indian engineering colleges and one among the best NITs in India. The academics, brilliant students along with fully equipped labs, classrooms and high-quality teaching make this campus on the hot list of many students. There is no uniform. There is a flexible timetable which we can choose. The students can use cycle inside the campus. Hostel facilities are good and more hostel is coming up resulting in a single room for each student within 3 years. T...
The college is quite good in terms of infrastructure and facilities, with a rather small campus. It used to be on the outskirts of the town, however, most facilities are available nearby- including a rather dingy movie theater. The teachers were competent in their field, but not very inspiring. The fees, being a government institute was a fraction of what the private colleges charge. The campus placements were good during our time (batch size of around 300). Overall, it is worth joining, for t...
This is an excellent college. Must go if you get a chance of admission there, highly recommended. The education system, curriculum, and labs are of high level and well-equipped with required instruments for practical experience. It has highly qualified and experience professors. The placement is 100%.
The college is good. The faculty is well qualified, very cooperative and helpful. Sports facility is very good and they have got almost all sports and their kits are also available for e.g. Cricket, swimming pool, gym etc. There is a cultural festival named 'RAGAM' which is a three day festival and the second largest festival in south India which is also a huge crowd puller and there is a techno festival named as 'TATVA' which is again a three day festival where you can find most innovation an...
NIT Calicut is one of the best colleges in south India and ranks in top 15 colleges of India. NIT is providing a word class education to the students with the infrastructure and the lab facilities. The placements are better and the students can have a better opportunity and learn content with the industrial experience. The disadvantages are the hostel facilities not being up to the mark including the mess food.
I studied in ECE with a batch size of 120 where the entire batch size was around 800. The department had a renowned and dedicated faculty. The curriculum is more inclined towards the communication background as the number of instructors are more in that domain. The placements start in the month of August during the final year of the course. The placements in ECE are good and almost 90% of the batch gets placed by January. The average salary offered is around 6 lakhs for the ECE stream, although...
In terms of crowd, campus life, and fests, I will rate NITC excellent. We had events every other week and the technical and cultural fests were amazing. In the case of facilities, the labs are not equipped with the latest instruments. Even in infrastructure, except for the New Lecture Hall Complex, other buildings are pretty old. The faculty is above average and I was happy with most of the teachers who taught me. Placements are not 100%, and the average salary is not a great measure because the...
NIT Calicut is the best engineering college in Kerala. Located in the lap of Mother Nature, this college provides an excellent education. I was enrolled in ECE. All classrooms are large, comfortable and having all modern technology like a projector, mic, LAN cables etc. The college has a large number of independent and big labs. Anyone can complete his individual projects in these labs. The lab is open 24x7 for interested and dedicated students. The hostels have excellent infrastructure. All...
