Disappointed with the faculty.

Placements: The placements provided in our college are good. Many reputed companies visit the campus. It is one of the best colleges to pursue computer science in northern India. Plenty of time is provided for the students to prepare for placements. Almost, 85% of the students in my batch were placed with the highest package of 27 LPA.

My experience with NIT, JSR.

Placements: The placements in NIT, Jamshedpur are something to boast of. Assembling over 140 companies in one year ensures that every student gets ample opportunities to showcase their talent and get placed. Companies of both core and non-core segment visit the campus to recruit the best minds.

In a nutshell for a mechanical guy, it is a good college for getting placement, but not knowledge.

Placements: The placement is good in number but not in quality. As in recent years, almost all get placed on the campus, but not in core. Around 75 out of 94 got placed this year till now. 3 to 4 students got placed in BPCL also. Overall, we can say that the placement is good. The average salary placement is around 5 LPA.

NIT provides good placements. The hostel is awesome.

Placements: The college provides good placements. PSU often visit our campus for hiring the students with the salary package of 17 LPA. Only 5 students out of 90 got placed on the campus. The mechanical department has the best placement percentage in the college. Placements go through the year so no worry of getting missed by any of the companies.

Faculties are not good, placements are good, it has scarcity of infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: I don't know how, but placement scenario is good. Yes Actually, I know. It is because of the various technical teams here, which give you ample of opportunities to learn new things very related to your branch, and these are the only things here which will make you feel like engineering.

NIT JSR current scenario rel review.

Placements: This year placement was good, although package is average but yet next to more than 85%. Off campusing recruitment is better than on campus. Microsoft came but we were not allowed to sit in the examination. Internal examinations are too much. There are some clubs which can guide.

Placements are good but not satisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: The placements of NIT Jamshedpur is very good as compared to other nearby NITs. CSE branch placements are far good than other branches. Many of the core companies visit NIT jamshedpurvfor recruitment including some of the PSU like BCCL, HPCL. The highest package ever is 67Lakhs. Top companies are Amzon, Direct, Tata Steel, BCCL, etc. Talking about internship, NIT Jamshedpur provides enough internship opportunities as many of the companies are in Jamshedpur itself like TATA Steel, Tata motors, et...

Not much satisfied with the college, infrastructure and quality of faculty.

Placements: The package offered in the placements is not high. Core companies are now avoiding to come to our college. The highest salary offered was 18 lacs per annum, the average salary offered was 5.5 lacs per annum. Companies like Tata Steel, L&T Constructions, Aditya Birla, Hindalco, Bharat Petroleum, Cognizant, Amazon, Intel, Havells, etc., recruit the students of this college.

Slightly dissatisfied from my college as many things need to be changed.

Placements: Here Placements are good for both core and non core branches. For branches like CSE and ECE Placements are really good as many of the top software companies visit our college like Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle etc. For core branches like mechanical, civil, metallurgy, production and EEE companies like TATA STEEL located in Jamshedpur itself, BPCL, TATA Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Hindalco etc. Come by giving an ample of Placement opportunities to the students.

There is no best infrastructure, but there is a great value for money regarding placements.

Placements: The placements are 100% for CSE. The role and the package you get depends on the person. This year the highest packages were from Microsoft and Amazon with a package of 25 LPA. The lowest package was around 3.5 LPA by mass recruiters like Infosys and TCS. The average package can be said around 6.5 LPA. Majority of the roles are from software and some from analytics. Some companies which visit the campus are Yodlee, Oracle, Ola, Treebo, Adobe, Philips, Samsung etc.

Overall if we see then we can say that NIT Jamshedpur is good college.

Placements: In the sense of placement, NIT Jamshedpur is leading among NITs allover India. In case of Computer Science and Engineering placements are good, and have many opportunities. In other branches, placements are also good. The highest placement offered was for Computer Science students that is 33LPA by Amazon, and it is the highest salary offered in the college placements. Average package of offered to the students in the college is 5.5LPA. But in other course Example MCA, PhD, the placements are too...

Good infrastructure, but bad faculty members.

Placements: The companies like LNT has come here for placement, but last year no one was selected for LET. In this year, LNT result has not come out yet. 2-3 more companies have visited already in this year. 2 of them was coaching institution for IIT-JEE. They were offering the role of teachers of physics, chemistry, and math.

It's time to dream for your better future, dare for hard work, and achieve your goals.

Placements: The average package offered was between 4.5 lacs to 5.25 lacs per annum for the MCA course in NIT, Jamshedpur, but maximum companies come with criteria that student should have 60% or 6.5 CGPA in SSC, HSC, UG, and in running course. So, up to 70% of the student got placed in my seniors batch. So, those students who are non-criteria students wait for mass recruitment companies until the end of the 5th semester for placement.

Helping teachers and an active college. Infrastructure is not great, but there are good labs.

Placements: Placement is okay for good students. The companies like Directi, Amazon used to recruit from college. Placement cell is really hard working. Anyone can take placement from here, but you have to know how to code. The companies like Oracle recruited the current third years. In our third year, about 40 students are placed out of around 70 students. The highest offered was 16 LPA, and the lowest was 4LPA. About 20% students got an internship last year.

Placements: NIT Jamshedpur witnessed a good placement season for the batch of 2014. A lot of good brands like Amazon, Samsung, Ericsson, Honda R&D, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, EXL, Mu-Sigma, TCS, IBM and The Likes visited the campus. Roles like graduate engineer trainee, assistant manager, software developer, systems engineer, business analyst, decision scientist etc. were offered to the students. The students did their summer internships from the likes of Tata Steel, BHEL, Usha Martin, CSR etc. A few students...

Life at NIT , Jsr is good. Studies are the worst.

Placements: In CSE branch, the placement is good and approximately more than 90%. But for other branches, it's not so good. For other branches, the placement is between 60-70%. In a few branches, it's even lower. The results in GATE aren't too good either. The highest package is 27 lakhs, again in CSE. The average is 6-8 lakhs for all branches.

Good placements and infrastructure but not the dream college.

Placements: CSE placement is superb. Around 92% students got placed. Last year, 4 students get placed in Amazon. Placements for ECE are also good. Two students got an internship in Amazon. Around 89% students got placed from the batch last year. EEE students also get placed in a huge number. Placements for non-core branches is also fine. Majority of students got placed in Tata. Overall, the placement is above average.

Choose only if top NITs are out of scope.

Placements: The placement is poor for the current batch in 2017. Less number of companies are visiting this year and less number of people recruited in core. Tata Pigment and Tata Motors were the saving graces for some lucky students. The odd year is the reason for less vacancies and less companies visiting. The job offered was an office post in general and ZM Finance offered 8 lacs package. The average package for those placed was 6 lakhs.

Placements: The placements of MME department at NIT Jamshedpur are good and some other college of national importance. Recently Vedanta Took 9 student with the package of 7.95 lakhs. The percentage of a student placed is high. The highest package on campus is 9.38 lakhs. Tata steel, Vedanta, Wipro, TCS and many companies visit our campus.

Lots of fun in 2016 with good academics

Placements: More than 75% students got placed in good companies. The highest package offered is more than 11 LPA approximately, the lowest offered is 3.24 LPA and the average is 5-6 LPA. The roles offered were Analyst in KPOs, Graduate Engineer Trainees in the respective domain, System Engineer and much more. As far as internships are concerned, at our time these were not readily available but after the 2016 batch, more opportunities are popping up.
