Incredible, authentic and excellent placement stats.

Placements: Placements have been one of the key highlights here at NIT Jamshedpur. For the 2020 batch, the placement of the college stands out at 93.76% and an average of 12.63 LPA, with each individual branch having a placement percentage above 90%. The key point to note is that this placement occurred during the recession period. Companies like Amazon and Atlassian came for the SDE role, while companies like Tata Motors and Vedanta arrived for the jobs in the core sector.

Life at NIT Jamshedpur! You should take admission or not?

Placements: The placement scenario is good on our campus, though the effect of the recession is also there, especially in the non-core sector. Students are nowadays finding it easier to get jobs in the core sector. The average package of electrical was about 17.5 LPA in 2023, which I suppose will decrease a bit to about 15–16 LPA. And yes, the number of students a single company was used to hire also decreased but the number of companies visiting the campus relatively increased.

Faculty members are good but college has no proper laboratory.

Placements: Mainly, educational background companies come to this college. In my batch, up to January 2024, no industrial background companies come to this college, but TCS comes to this college. Unfortunately, up to January 2024, in my batch, no one gets placement. The college does not focus on recruitment in the Chemistry department.
