Q:   Is NIT Narula Institute of Technology good for B.Tech in CSE?

A:

It seems that NIT Narula Institute of Technology provides students pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with an unequal experience. Renowned firms like Microsoft, Amazon, and Juspay come to recruit and provide competitive salary packages up to 51 LPA off-campus; the college has a respectable placement record. Concerns around disparate placement rates and students choosing to forego college internships in favor of greater prospects elsewhere are present while this is happening. The campus has a number of sports facilities, immaculate classrooms, and Wi-Fi, however the catered food's quality and quantity need to be enhanced. Although teachers emphasize completing the curriculum on time and possess knowledge, students' assessments of how consistently they are taught vary.

Overall, this is a good college.
Placements: This college is good for providing quality education. The faculty is also very helpful in nature. Students can work on projects under the guidance of teachers and their peers. Many of the seniors are placed in good company. And many of them go for their higher education.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are very good; they are helping by nature. Classroom are enough for maximum 70 students. labs are also good. Hostels are good but sometimes the food quality is not enough, according to our fees. Many of the clubs are available for the students who want to join sports, arts, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helping in nature. They are qualified by a recognised university. Their teaching quality is very good. Yes, this course is good. Our college also makes industrial visits to the students. The semester exams are averagely tough. The pass percentage is 4 points in each subject.
Other: This course is good for the future. In this field, there are many career options in government as well as in the private sector.

A good college with average placement and other facilities.
Placements: Quite a few of them got placed in companies like ITC Infotech, Schindler Electric, Accenture, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra. However, there were still many who had to go through a lot of trouble to get their joining letters. Most of my friends got roles in marketing, as junior engineers, or as product managers.
Infrastructure: NIT Agarpara Campus has good infrastructure. The classrooms are good and most have smart boards. The canteen is good and has Wi-Fi. Each floor has separate toilets. The campus also has a big playground. Each floor has Wi-Fi, but students are not given the password.
Faculty: The teachers were generally helpful and qualified, with a few exceptions. The course curriculum was mostly relevant, but the textbooks were heavily outdated. The exams were standard, but since the college is autonomous, the faculty members set the question papers, and the exam questions mostly came from the suggestions given in class.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placement in 2022.
Placements: Students pass in 2023 they that batch was get 88% 2-the Highest package was 20LPA, the lowest is 3LPA and average package is 5LPA 3- This companies are visited most of the time cognizant, Wipro, TCS, L&T that all 4- 60% 5- this course offered roles in government jobs and core companies.
Infrastructure: 1- Facilities of our department are good accept some of once and the infrastructure are good type means labs are really helpful for students even they provide computer labs also. 2-hostel is good and the location of hostel near to college not so far. And if we talking about food it is good most of the time and not bad but sometimes you maybe not like the food boz of oil and in canteen everytime good was available. The last and most important thing is medical facilities there is a special room for that and it well maintained. Sports and game are available for students.
Faculty: 1- teacher are good and the quality of teaching is too good and they help you most of the time. 2-yes the way they teach us they will and some of time they took us in industrial visit also for better experience. 3- if we talking about semester exams what they provide questions and suggestion it will help a lots in exams so if we study that notes what they provide us then its easy to pass otherwise student will be fail.
Other: 1- I will choose this course boz I want a government job so only I select this course 2-they must be improved the placement companies for core departments 3-in a year there was 2 time events are happened and in most of the scholarship this college is eligible and everything is good .

Dissatisfied because of the curriculum being taught, average placements in 2024, & good infra.
Placements: In my batch at Narula Institute of Technology, 65 percent of the students were placed in my course. The highest package was around 10 LPA, and the lowest one was 3.7 LPA, while the average was 4-5 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies were Deloitte, Accenture, and TCS. Around 70 percent of students got internships, both virtual and physical, in electrical engineering companies as well as teaching startups. Some of the top roles offered were software developer, UI/UX developer, and associate electrical engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is present on campus with good internet speed. The classrooms are clean and modern, with good ventilation, and equipped with smart boards too. The library has access to various books too, which helps the students. The food quality in the canteen is average, with most students sticking to food from shops outside. The college hosts various sports tournaments throughout the year.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were well qualified, as they provided the essential skills needed for the curriculum. However, industry-standard skills are needed to be learned by the students themselves through online coursework and other study materials. The course makes the student industry ready around 50 percent; the rest is needed to be done by the student on his or her own. The difficulty level of exams is average, where anyone can ace the exams if they study for a month prior to the exams. The pass percentage is high too, with only a handful of students facing backlogs per semester.
Other: I chose this course because it was allotted to me after giving the WBJEE exam. The best thing about the course is learning about electrical components and implementing them in detail. I wish the course was more updated with industry-standard subjects being taught rather than microprocessors and components, which have become obsolete in the current scenario. The campus life is lively, with many events, festivals, and extracurricular activities being held all year round.
