Step 1: NIT Patna Application Process 

Candidates seeking admission have to apply for the respective accepted exam through the conducting body official website. The application process is online for all the programmes. For some courses like PhD, aspirants need to visit NIT Patna official website to apply.

Step 2: Entrance Exam

NIT Patna accept national-level exam such as JEE Main, GATE, IIT JAM for admission to BTech, MTech, and MSc, respectively. Only aspirants with valid score in the accepted exam become eligible for admission.

Step 3: Release of Cutoff list & Counselling

A course-wise merit list is released to indicate the minimum marks required for admission. Candidates shortlisted based on exam score further have to participate in the respective counselling process such as JoSAA for BTech, CCMT for MTech, and CCMN for MSc. 

Step 4: Admission Confirmation

After the conclusion of the selection rounds, the selected candidates can pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.
