Overall, the college is average.

Placements: My branch gets good placements and internship opportunities also. The package ranges from 5 LPA to 17 LPA. Many top companies visits for placement like UHG, JPMC, Amazon, CA Technology and much more and roles vary from full stack developer to research to management. Here almost 100% of the students from our batch got placed from last two years and going pretty well. But as far as the internship is concerned it is only to the 3rd-year students, not the 2nd year and that too three to four companie...

Satisfied with the college. Degree from government college that means a lot.

Placements: Major placements come from the IT companies and also business analytics. Very few core companies but the number of students they take is quite higher than IT companies. 70 to 75% percent of students are placed every year. The lowest salary is 5 lakhs per annum and the average is 6 to 7 lakhs.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure, canteen, and the labs, but satisfied with the placements.

Placements: Many companies came here and provided the placements in different fields with a decent package. But not every branch core companies visit the campus, as my branch biotech hardly one company came for the placements. Overall, the placements are good. Many IT companies come with good packages. Last year, the placements were good for the mining branch.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty.

Placements: We don't get the placement offers here. There are chances that we can give the exams to get the placement in different companies. Only 2 of my senior students got placed in good companies, that too, by giving the exams. The placement is something that every college should provide.

Lacks placements, bad faculty, the worst NIT

Placements: It is really very poor for core branches with 15-20 placements out of 80. It is very good for CS, IT and ECE branches with 95% placements. It is only the reputation and name attracting generic companies and the placement cell is numb. The director, HODs and the placement cell are solely responsible for this present situation. No push is given to call new companies and there is an absence of alumni contacts.

NIT Raipur and bachelor of technology in the stream of electronics and telecommunications.

Placements: There are awesome placements for computer science and mining students. A few core companies come for other branches as well, but plenty of software companies will take the students irrespective of your branch. It is better to opt for computer science for better placements. There are too few internship opportunities.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty members. Good in infrastructure and placements.

Placements: Placements team is student managed in NIT, Raipur. Automobile stalwarts like Tata Motors, Honda, and Mahindra, etc. visits the campus for mechanical branch. Government of India owned CIL is our regular recruiter. From few years, DRDO has been visiting the campus and is quite impressed with the quality of students here.

Average placements in 2015.

Placements: The placements in IT or CS branches are average. Most of the students from various branches are offered jobs in MNCs like Infosys and CTS, but these companies pay very below the market standards. The training and placement departments were not that good at my time, and there were very limited number of good companies(good paying) visiting the campus. The TPO did not approach the companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Snapdeal, PayTM, Adobe, Flipkart, OYO Rooms etc companies for the recruitment of fre...

When I studied it was ok. But now, there has been so much development in both infrastructure and services. There has been tremendous changes. About the city, Raipur is a peaceful city. There used to be accommodation problem for boys. But they have built new hostel with good facilities. Hope now everything is fine.

NIT Raipur's name speaks for itself. College hosts three fests and there’s a choice of clubs and activities for all round development. Attendance is not strict. Academically, if you manage your time well, you can do well. Faculty members are good but not great. Students are extremely friendly. There are many places to relax. Films are screened occasionally in the auditorium. Being a centrally funded institute, college fees is lower than all comparable institutes. Almost all big companies come f...

Being an NIT has its own perks. It has a good placement record specially for non core branches like IT CS and ELEX. There are various co-curricular activities that are held every year for the overall development of its students. Being one of the oldest of the institutions, it has a wide Alumni Network. Alumnis of this college can be found in almost all of the core companies in India as well as outside.

It’s one of the top colleges in country with establishment year back in 1950s. It has advanced many folds than any other college of state. Few good things are as under 1. Cool campus life 2. Better placement opportunities 3. Cooperative faculty 4. Raipur is one of best emerging city of nation.

Dissatisfied because of the lack of hostels, but it has decent placement rates and good packages.

Placements: Core placements are quite low. Non-core placements with SDE and data analysts are good. Paytm, Wipro, Deloitte, Amazon, Optum, and O9solutions are the top recruiters with an average package of 9 LPA. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA and the highest package on campuses is 36 LPA, while off-campus students get 1 CPA.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty members.

Placements: In architecture, there are no placements, but we do internships and pay by the architect or the firm. Mostly firms which visit here are private, so they offer salary package how much they want. It is difficult to get a job from the architecture course, and for our senior batch students, average firms visited to offer placements. Some of them got placed in very good firms, and are working hard.
