Review of NIT Srinagar - National Institute of Technology

Placements: Placements are quite poor, mostly with IT companies and a few core companies. If I don't receive any placements, I planned to write the GATE exam for my branch, as the competition is very low. I would suggest this for students pursuing my branch.

NIT Srinagar review in general.

Placements: Placement rate is not good, many seniors having good CGPA do not get placement. The highest package is about 20 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. The average package is about 12 LPA. Sorry, but top companies don't come here. The percentage of students who got placement is also low.

For civil engineering, this college is not preferable because placements are not good for it.

Placements: In B.Tech Civil Engineering, only 60% of students get placement. The highest package is 19 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Oracle, etc. About 70 to 75% of students get internships offered by companies. Top roles offered are structural engineering and more.

Good facilities. Good faculty members. Great food.

Placements: Approximately 30% of students are placed in the core chemical engineering field. And approximately 20% of students are placed in its sectors. The highest package for chemical engineering is 20 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. The average package is 8-9 LPA for the chemical engineering field. Top recruiting companies are Vedanta, Tata Steel, Coal India, etc.

Dissatisfied with the core placements.

Placements: The placement percent of our college remains steady at 60-70% but the only problem is that placement takes place in the CSE/IT branch. Core companies for ECE and electrical, etc. don't visit the campus much. Even if they do, only a few used to get placement.

Me and the chaotic life in NIT Srinagar.

Placements: There are some good as well as bad placements too. The highest went up to 40 Lacs around and the lowest to around 10 Lacs. Top recruiting companies for our course are Samsung, Oracle, Autodesk. Around 25-40% got internships from CSE and its branches in many of these companies.

Average placement for core branches, but for CS, it's good.

Placements: 60 percent students got placed and top recruiters were Tata, Increff, Samsung. Oracle and IT companies have a kind of monopoly in campus. you should try to learn coding as it will give upper hand to everyone. Core branches are also good, and placement is thus overall, average.

I am dissatisfied with faculty and placements.

Placements: Around 10% of students were placed. Software companies recruited students. The highest salary package was 6 LPA. Students do their internships at PSUs and IITs. There were no roles offered.

If you are getting CS/IT then come here otherwise a big No.

Placements: If you are from CSE/IT then placement is very good but for core branch you should not expect much. In core branch, 2-3 PSUs come every year which hires only branch toppers. There are some core companies which visit here every year like Tata Project, L&T, Suzuki Motors and Vedanta.

Our college provides poor placements and negligible exposure.

Placements: I am currently pursuing a 2nd-year B.Tech at NIT Srinagar. Placements are not so good because of the location of the campus and connectivity issues to reach college, so many companies refused to visit the college. Otherwise, off-campus placements are good options for NIT Srinagar students.

I am satisfied with our course as I had a pretty good experience in the college, and I enjoyed it.

Placements: The average salary package offered in our college is 6 LPA. If you are good enough, you can get a salary package of around 10 LPA. If you are in CS or IT branches, you can get a salary package of around 12 LPA. If you are from core branches, you can't expect a salary package of more than 5 LPA, and it depends on your performance how much you can bag.

If you join in NIT Srinagar, then your life will be ruined.

Placements: I think I made the worst decision of joining this college in my life because there are no fests, no good education and not a good environment, which we expect from Kashmir.

It is an amazing college, but no innovation occurs.

Placements: The percentage of students who got placements is very less, and even the average salary package offered is also very less. Most of the IT and CSE students get placed. Around 40 to 50% of the students from the rest branches got placed.

The college is good, but the environment outside the campus is not good.

Placements: Around 15 students got placed from our college. The highest salary package offered was 38 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The average salary package offered was 15 LPA. PSU such as NTPC, ONGC, etc., are the best recruiters. The highest salary package offered in our course was 18LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. An average salary package offered was of 8 LPA the lowest. I am satisfied in every aspect.

Placements: Around 40-50% of the students get placed from our college. The highest salary package offered was 17 LPA, while an average salary package offered ranges from 8 LPA - 9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA - 5 LPA. BHEL is the leading company for placements in our college. The role offered will be of executive engineers. Almost 100% of the students get an internship in various companies like Byju's, CETPA, PDD NPTEL and IITs.

Dissatisfied with college management.

Placements: The placements in NIT, Srinagar is very limited. Mainly IT companies like Wipro, Infosys, etc. comes to college. We had a few companies like Vedanta that came to the college. Only about 50% of people in the course were placed. The highest salary was around 8 lacs. The lowest I think was 3.5 lacs. Roles were Project Engineer or something like that.

It is an amazing campus. If you visit here, you will definitely forget about other campuses.

Placements: If you're interested in computer science or information technology branch, then this college is too good for you. Placements are too good for CSE and IT branches, and many of them got double placement offers. The placement rate for branches like ELE, mechanical and civil is around 60-70% because it is core, and there is a lack of private companies in the core branch. However, if you are performing well from this branch, then you will definitely get placed in PSUs. Placements for METT and chemica...

College is situated on the bank of Dal Lake. Overall it is a good college.

Placements: Placements in our college depend upon the condition of Jammu and Kashmir. More than 140 students got placed in the year 2018-19. In the previous year, more than 250 students got placed. If there is no issue of a strike or any other problem, then placement will increase.

National Institute of Technology, Srinagar has decent placements and good infrastructure.

Placements: Placements at NIT, Srinagar are decent for mechanical, civil, electrical and electronics, electronics and communication engineering, IT and computer science engineering. Remaining branches don't have core placement, which means students who were prepared to do the job weren't placed.

Placements: Placement is really good. Almost every branch student get placement in good companies but computer Science engineering, Information technology and mechanical engineering have much better placement in comparison to other branches. No internship provided by college.
