NMIT Bangalore offers a two-year full-time MTech programme divided into four semesters. Candidates who have passed BE/ BTech in relevant subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for MTech. The course is available in four specialisations, namely:

The total tuition fes of MTech ranges between INR 1.4 lakh and INR 6 lakh. Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Aspirants will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission. The application fee for MTech is INR 1,000.

NMIT has the seats reserved in its M.Tech programme for candidates who take admission to the programme through different entrance exams and quotas. Additionally, AICTE has also approved 15% extra seats for foreign nationals/ PIO/ NRI students whose parents work in the Gulf countries. NMIT Bangalore M.Tech admission is entrance based. Candidates who have a BTech or BE qualification with minimum 50% aggregate (candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ ST and Category-1 must obtain at least 45% aggregate) in the qualifying examination can apply for admission in the M.Tech programme. Further, candidates must appear for Karnataka PGCET or GATE (for admission through the management quota).

The seat intake for the M.Tech programme at NMIT Bangalore ranges from 18 to 24 depending upon the specialisation selected by candidates during the time of admission. Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology has a seat intake capacity of 24 for the MTech Structural Engineering course and has 18 seats each for the other specialisations.

Yes, NITTE Meenakshi conducts NUCAT for admission to UG and PG courses. Nitte University Common Admission Test (NUCAT) is conducted in online mode for 120 minutes. Candidates seeking admission in BTech, MTech, MBA, MCA or BSc (Hons) courses at NMIT Bangalore must have a valid score in NUCAT. Aspirants need to participate in counselling and seat allotment with their rank for final admission.
