Value for money and education with sports and college life in PICT.
Placements: From this year 2024, the college will be autonomous, which means they can design their own syllabus. Now, the curriculum has been changed as per the industry's needs. We are taught with the latest materials, and the labs are full of the latest technology and materials. The placement is top-notch as it is recognized as one of the best colleges for placements. The average placement is 18 LPA for Electronics and Telecommunication, but higher for Computers. This year, the placements are high with a 92% placement rate.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is renovated with new paint and benches. The benches are big and comfortable in classrooms. The classrooms have projectors and whiteboards for knowledge. The hostel has 5 floors with good space for each student, with separate washrooms for everyone, but they don’t have a lift, so you have to walk 5 floors to reach your room. However, the infrastructure is decent with a gym, sports facilities, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and have deep knowledge of their subjects. Due to autonomy, the curriculum is completely changed, and now they have a new syllabus as per the industry needs, with new labs, libraries, and exams. Speaking about exams, they are really easy but also test your knowledge. Teachers also give extra effort to clear your doubts.
Other: I am fully satisfied with my course, as it has the latest syllabus and modern tools for better understanding. It is truly the value of money.

Massachusetts of West in terms of academics.
Placements: If we see 2023 placements, then they are up to 91%. The highest placement was about nearly 47 LPA and the average placement was nearly 11.5 LPA. Top recruiters were like PhonePe, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, and many more tech companies. PhonePe gave a 41 LPA package to an electronic student, but I don't know it confirmly, I just heard it. Top roles from our college are like data science engineer, web developer, robotics through AI, electronic engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty well, meaning there is a complete focus on studies and industrial knowledge, so here grounds and roaming area are a little less but it's okay because they are just providing the huge opportunities. Classrooms are well-maintained. The library and reading hall have huge space. Hostel is okay. And mess is also good.
Faculty: Teaching quality here at PICT is pretty excellent. Teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable as well so there is no drawback for academics. The course curriculum is also relevant but in the sense of industry knowledge, it is a little older but there, they are trying to improve and update the curriculum. Semester exams are a little tough, meaning they are on a little tougher side only and the pass percentage is also well, meaning in terms of numbers they are like I think so 90% or something but the discipline towards the exams are very strict. The verification of your roll number and many more details are precisely checked and then only you are allowed to give the exam.
Other: ENTC is Electronic and Communication Engineering so this branch is the upcoming branch which will rise in terms of its semiconductor industry or in terms of the electronic market. The best thing about the course is about its uniqueness of its curriculum which is very different from any other branch which includes a lot of logic and a little bit of enjoyment too. Yes, there are fests like Tech Fest which uses the opportunity to learn more about new technology and helps to make contacts with the people who are currently working in that industry and much more.

From Campus to Career: My College Review.
Placements: 94 percent of students get placed. The highest package offered is 33 LPA by PhonePe, and the lowest package is around 3 LPA. The average package is 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies include PhonePe, Barclays, ZS Associates, Toshiba, ACI, Mastercard, and Arista Networks. Forty percent of students received paid internships from companies like Barclays, Mastercard, B.M.C., and Arista Networks. The roles offered are Software Developer, Trainee, Data Analyst, Associate Software Developer, and Full Stack Developer.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is available free of cost and is fast. Labs are well-equipped with PCs and electronic tools like Arduino and PIC microcontrollers for E&TC students. A library is available, consisting of both technical and non-technical books. The hostels have spacious two-seater rooms, each equipped with a bathroom and a geyser. The mess food is average and can become boring within a few days. Sports such as cricket, football, and volleyball are played, and a gym is also available.
Faculty: All the teachers have an MS degree and teaching experience. The teaching quality is average; some teachers are boring while others are excellent. The curriculum includes important topics such as DSA, DBMS, and OS, which are essential for placements. However, writing assignments is a hectic task and not worth the time. Semester exams are not that tough, and most students manage to achieve above a 7.5 CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to have a blended knowledge of both core subjects and coding. This college has a great coding culture. For improvement, I want the latest technologies to be introduced, as some areas still teach outdated syllabi that are not required nowadays. Various events take place, including non-technical ones like Addition and technical ones like INC. Various clubs exist, such as IEEE, PISB, PCSB, the debate club, art club, and NSS.

Want a good placement? Join PICT, but be ready to suffer a little bit.
Placements: Almost 70 to 80 percent of students get placed in my course. The placements and opportunities in PICT Electronics and Telecommunication are really good. You have both opportunities for software and core hardware jobs. The highest package for the ENTC branch is 33 LPA offered by PhonePe, and the average package is about 12.5 LPA. Even in recession, the average package is about 9 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are PhonePe, Barclays, Siemens, MasterCard, UBS, HSBC, SAP, Cadence, Toshiba, NICE, Accenture, Amdocs, Bajaj Finserv, DragonFly, Godrej & Boyce, Concore and many more. The internship opportunities are also very good. Companies like Barclays, Siemens, Mastercard, B.M.C., etc. offer campus internships to students in their third year. The top roles offered are software developer, web developer, junior developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The whole campus has college wi-fi access, classrooms are big and good, and projectors and screens are installed in every classrooms with a computer connected to it. The computers in lab are also new; some even have i7 processors of the latest generation. The kits and equipment in labs for practical purposes are also good and easy to operate. The library of the college has all types of books related to the curriculum. You can issue those books to the librarian on your ID card and take them home for 15 days. After 15 days, you can also reissue them. The library is very up-to-date and feels fresh. There is a reading hall above library where you can study, it has capacity almost for 300 to 400 students, it has wi-fi access; and if you need a pc, there are 5 common pc available in reading hall. There is a hostel available for both girls and boys, but the capacity is very limited The girls hostel is really good but the boys hostel is in an old building. Both hostels are very strict about in-and-out time and discipline; there is no issue of any ragging or abuse from seniors. Canteen and mess are available on campus; mess is compulsory for hostel students; the food quality of mess is satisfactory; the canteen is not very modern; you can not expect multi-cuisine foods like Chinese foods, pizza and all. The mess students get some special meals like Chinese and Pav Bhaji on some days; even students who have not joined the mess can pay and buy a thali for 80-100 rs; there is a medical facility available in the hostel; and also, Bharti Hospital of Pune is very close to the college campus; the sports facilities are limited; there is a small field with basketball, volleyball courts and a cricket net; and there is a separate court for table tennis. There is art circle room where all the art-related things, such as musical instruments, light and all other things, are available.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly educated most faculty members are Ph.D. They teach really good, regular lectures and labs are there in college and attendance is mandatory and very strictly monitored especially in first year. Teachers use various innovative methods to teach like PPT, animations, live demonstration, etc. Till 2023 joined batches the college follows SPPU 2019 curriculum which is good but not very industry relevant you have to learn industry relevant skills like programming, database management, web development on your own through various courses, even though the college offers some private courses for these skills. In the SPPU 2019 pattern, the exams are really easy; there is a 30-mark insem and a 70-mark endsem. You can clear both by studying one night before, as most questions are PYQ. Now, in 2024, the college is autonomous and has designed its own syllabus which may be industry-relevant and exams may also be thought- and concept-based.
Other: If you are serious, you really get a quality education as compared to other colleges. The college is very serious about academics, and all branches have good opportunities for placements and internships. But the ENTC department is very strict compared to others in terms of attendance, assignment submissions, and the schedule and college hours of the ENTC department are really hectic, so if you are choosing the ENTC course, be ready to suffer a little, but if you are really interested in ENTC or job opportunities in software, even as an ENTC student, then it is worth suffering a little. The college crowd is really nice; all the seniors are really nice and helpful; no one will trouble or rag you in college; you can ask all types of advice to seniors; they are ready to help. The campus is small but feels nice due to it's lush green nature. The main cultural event is PICT Addition, which takes place in the month of April for 3 days. The fest is low-budget but really enjoyable. For extracurricular activities, you can join clubs like Art Circle, NSS, Pictoreal and Sports Teams.

Good college for placements. But the college life does not exist. It just feels like a school.
Placements: Placements here at PICT are very good. Overall, the average package of the college is 12.85 Lacs. Branch wise, average packages range between 11 to 13 Lacs. The highest off-campus package is that of Amazon (1.25Cr). On campus, the highest package is offered by PhonePe (44 LPA). Placements report is also available on the website. I know many seniors getting off campus placements with a salary worth 40LPA from IT depth, 60LPA from ENTC depth along with some international placements.
Infrastructure: The Labs, library, stationery, classrooms, and reading hall are well maintained. Only seminar hall in our college has an AC. Everything else is good. Canteen provides good fast food and is very budget friendly. Mess which is managed by the canteen catering is not good. Hostel rooms are equipped with wireless and LAN Wi-Fi connections. Common and attached washroom options are available for both boys and girls. Girls hostel has more rooms compared to boys. You will face difficulty if you miss the in-time of the hostel which is 10PM.
Faculty: First year’s faculty of the college is average. Some of the teachers are very strict while others are like friends. I was lucky enough to get a friendly faculty in both the semesters of my first year. I have heard from the seniors that the faculty of ENTC is more strict compared to the other branches, but if you deal well with them in terms of completing assignments on time, having good attendance records, etc., you are good to go. Papers are set by the Pune University also known as SPPU. Exams are easy. The only thing you must do is practice PYQs.
Other: I chose this college because of it's placements. The college life here is zero. The campus is small, nearly non existent. Even my school’s ground was way bigger than this college’s entire campus. The crowd here is average. Many students are nerds, they don't know anything other than the subjects which are in their course. You cannot talk to them on topics like geopolitics, politics, future aspects, tech news, etc. If you are willing to sacrifice for good placements, only then join this college. There are no events or fests.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   Is Pune Institute of Computer Technology best for Engineering or not?

A:

Based on the search results, Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) appears to be one of the best engineering colleges in Pune and Maharashtra:

A score of 130+ is safe to get admission in ENTC. However for CSE, cutoff could be as high as 155-160.
