RNS Institute of Technology offers a vibrant campus life for its students, with multiple sports grounds and coaching facilities, as well as regular college events and a moderately busy academic calendar. The mess food is of acceptable quality and hygiene standards, and students have access to designated student representatives and support staff who speak multiple languages. The college has a diverse student body from both home state and other states, and there is no reported discrimination against any students. The teaching methodology focuses on textbook-based lectures and case studies, and the library is well-stocked with research resources. Security measures include guards and CCTV cameras at every corner of the campus, and outsiders are allowed to move around without permission. However, the college takes strict action against ragging and has a zero-tolerance policy towards such incidents.

RNS Institute of Technology, Bengaluru offers undergraduate programs (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) under three specializations- CSE, Data Science and Cyber Security. All the courses are NBA accredited and students have bagged INR 12 LPA from internships only for the year 2023. The annual fees for these courses are-

·       CSE- INR 7.5 LPA

·       CSE (Data Science)- INR 4.5 LPA

·       CSE (Cyber Security)- INR 4.5 LPA

Although there is no specific information regarding placements in the CSE branch, a comprehensive report about placements at this Institute is accessible and makes for interesting reading. This placement process involved more than 200 collaborating companies and more than 1000 students. The largest compensation up to this point totals 56 LPA.

RNSIT has good placements, with high percentages of students getting placed in reputable companies. The average package is around 7-Lacs and some students have received packages as high as 56 LPA from top companies like Adobe.

The KMAT structure has remained unchanged since the past few years. KMAT exam will have 120 multiple-choice questions to be solved in 120 minutes. There is no negative marking in the KMAT exam and no marks will be deducted for questions not attempted. There will be three sections in the KMAT question paper, i.e. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Each section of the KMAT question paper will have 40 multiple choice questions which will have four options each. One mark will be awarded to the candidates for each correct answer. The exam will be conducted in the remote-proctored mode. Before 2020, the exam was conducted in the paper-based test mode. But since the COVID-19 pandemic, the authorities changed the exam mode to internet-based test mode. 

RNS Institute of Technology admissions are entrance-based. Below is the complete process to get admission in the institute:

Step 1: Candidates are first required to apply for their preferred course on the institute website.

Step 2: The institute evaluates the merit and entrance exam score of the candidates for admission. RNSIT accepts Karnataka PGCET, JEE Main, COMEDK, KMAT, etc. for admission to specific courses.

Step 3: After selection, candidates need to participate in the counselling rounds and pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.
