It has good atmosphere, infrastructure and campus life, great faculty, and average placements.
Placements: Those who pursue B.Sc. courses do not apply for placements. In our B.Sc. computer science department, we have a placement cell, but not many of them apply for it. Most of them study either MCA or M.Sc. Some even study for government exams. Even for those who applied, the percentage of students getting placed is very less. The average package offered is between 1.5-2 Lacs per annum. The highest package is around 3 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are TCS, ICICI Bank, Cognizant and Amazon. Many small companies also came here. Most of the roles offered by the companies are assistant and associate. Therefore, the salary is much less than a B.Tech graduate. Our college does not produce internships, but many of us, including me, got internships on online platforms. Even though the campus placements are not good, but many students got off-campus good jobs by learning different skills on their own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is very good. We have Wi-Fi enabled classrooms and air-conditioned rooms. Being one of the oldest institutions of West Bengal, it has a very good library with lots of books and study materials. I do not stay in the hostel. But as far as I heard from my friends and seniors, the hostel facilities are decent, but the mess food is very bad. Even the food in our college canteen is very costly and also not up to the mark. Most of us eat outside as there are many shops for different food items outside the college. Our college has a big sports ground where different games are practised, and also annual sports are arranged every year during the winter.
Faculty: The best thing I like about my department is the teachers. Almost all of them are helpful and very kind. Especially our HOD (Head of the Department) sir is very helpful and knowledgeable and very interactive. The teaching quality is great. Even during the pandemic, our teachers taught us regularly on the online platforms and even showed us the programs by doing themselves by sharing the screen. Semester exams conducted by CU (Calcutta University) are not very easy. It is rather quite difficult in some papers. But if one follows the classes and studies systematically, one can surely get decent marks. The pass percentage is 40% for all the courses in CU.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion for computer science and technology. The best part of my course is that some of the faculty members are really helpful and very much inspiring. Apart from that, the new CBCS curriculum makes the course much more student-friendly and also more things other than only theory which was there in the old 1+1+1 system. The coding part could be more complex so that the students can prepare more properly for placements and hackathons.

Review of Scottish Church College
Placements: Although there was a separate placement cell and a placement counselor, there wasn't any student placement from our college. We haven't even seen the placement cell councilors in our stay for three years in the college. The students after passing from college will either have to go for higher studies or prepare for government job exams.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were well lightened. However, some classrooms were small and crowded. The canteen had ample food which tasted good. There was no availability of Wi-Fi. The science labs were ideal, and one of the best in the city. The library had a lot of books. One can also get a softcopy of books. The college field was quite a distance from the college. The college does not encourage sports as much as academics. As for medical facilities, the college provides first aid and there were good hospitals nearby.
Faculty: All the teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. However, the teaching quality and their style of explanation were not up to the mark. The course curriculum was perfect for higher studies. The semester exams were quite tough, but most students qualify with a pass percentage greater than 95%.

Our college has the perfect environment for studies.
Placements: About 80% of the students from our course got placed. The salary package offered is very good. Many top companies of India visit our college to provide job opportunities to many students. Recently, our college offered a very handsome salary package for students. The environment is very good here.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a good hostel facility. Wi-Fi facility is available in each room. Seniors are very helpful. The college has a huge library, and it has almost every possible book. Physics and Chemistry labs are decent. Many CU toppers are from this college only.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are superb. They are ready to solve any doubt at any time. If they are on holiday, and if we call them they will always solve our problem. Most of our teachers are PhD holders from foreign countries. Semester exams are quite hard, but because of our teachers, we could score well. Teachers are very helpful.

It is one of the best colleges under University of Calcutta.
Placements: A very few students seek jobs after graduated from this college. Placement opportunities are available, but with extremely meagre salary packages. Moreover, specialist profiles are not offered. TCS is the top recruiting company for our college. Our college does not provide any internship opportunity.
Infrastructure: Opportunities provided to play sports are limited here, but there are very much sports facilities. Our college has its own cricket team and contingent for table tennis and badminton. Our college has a great library with facilities like Wi-Fi facility to access paid articles and journals for free of cost, for which our college has already a subscription. The canteen and hostel are pretty decent here.
Faculty: Faculty members here are good, highly qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them are extremely helpful. The course structure is highly theoretical. It also provides a great theoretical base but doesn't equip students with software and programming languages.
Other: As I am a student of economics, I surely want our college to improve us in technical aspects and incorporate software and programming languages to provide us with the application along with theory. The campus is small, but it is well maintained. Students will enjoy their campus life and also events like fests, etc.

A wholesome experience of college life .
Placements: As if my year of passing, at the Bachelor's level, the college did not offer placement opportunities or even internships. Students applied for them on their own. However, the course does open a lot of doors, and we are offered roles of data analysts and risk analysts by large MNCs.
Infrastructure: The campus is large, claiming about 5 buildings. There are gardens all around. Ambiance is extremely pleasant. So the staff, as in most colleges/universities, students cannot access the Wi-Fi. The auditorium and seminar hall are well-equipped. The classrooms are large and airy with sturdy desks and benches. The library is its pride, with a humongous collection of books. The canteen offers satisfactory food, and at reasonable prices. There is, however, a lack of space for holding sporting activities. Hence, only 4 stars. I would ideally rate it at 4.5. The fest is one of the best things the college has to offer.
Faculty: The teachers are supremely qualified, and are extremely helpful. They do not shy away from extra classes, revisions, and the like. The term paper, which is extremely important in the course, is guided by them to a great extent, and they are very good ATIT. The reason behind me giving a rating of 4 is that the course structure is mostly theoretical, and not practical, while it is the latter which is more relevant when it comes to entering the job market.
