Good college with good placements. Not much fests kind of college. Good infrastructure.
Placements: Nearly 70% of the students were placed in average and good companies. The highest package offered was around 50 lacs, and the average package for the CSE branch is 10 LPA, and the lowest package was around 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies in our college are Microsoft, Oracle, Infosys, etc. 40% of students got internships from good companies like Samsung.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The lectures here are very good and helpful. But there is no proper Wi-Fi supply. But you have a very good library in the college, and when it comes to hostels, we have two hostels: one is on the North campus and the other on the South campus. The North campus hostel is pretty good when compared to the South campus.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and good to us always. The way they teach is very good. NIE College follows the VTU portion. If you enter the college through the COMEDK exam, the fee will be nearly 4 LPA, and through KCET, it will be 2 LPA, and the semester exams are not too hard; you can complete them easily.
Other: I chose computer science engineering to get placed in a good company, and I always wanted to become a software developer. The one thing I wish that would improve in our course is removing unwanted subjects. The events are okay, not so good. We have one festival every year called Technieks.

Good with placements and facilities. But dissatisfied with management and infrastructure.
Placements: This present year, out of 120 students, 98 got placed even in this recession. The average package is 12–15 LPA, the highest is 42 LPA and the lowest is 5 LPA. Top recruiters are JPMC, Infosys, L&T, etc. From 3rd year onwards, companies come for internships and placements.
Infrastructure: The CS&E department has good infrastructure, classrooms, and well-established laboratories with good Wi-Fi connectivity. The campus contains a sports room and area where we can play at any time, and there are 3-4 canteens and a bakery available on campus.
Faculty: The course curriculum is well defined and suited to cutting-edge technology. It is based on skill development for the present technical world. Faculty members are very friendly and approachable; they motivate us to do something out of the syllabus. Exam difficulty is average; if you can understand the concepts of engineering, you can do it.
Other: Our batch consists of 240 students. All are ready for different industries, and some are pursuing higher studies. The library in college has many books and also for competitive exams related, which helps many students prepare.

Good placements, tough curriculum, average infrastructure and bare minimum facilities.
Placements: There were more than 70% students placed with an average package of 11 LPA in CSE. Overall, the packages offered range around 8-9 LPA including all branches. The highest package is around 60 LPA and the lowest is around 3 LPA. Top recruiters include many different companies but it varies every year. JP Morgan and Mercedes Benz are some of the top hiring companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is relatively poor, it only has two buildings, 1 academic block and 1 administrative block in the north campus. It's just too far away from the main city and they don't have enough hostel occupancy in the north campus so most of the first years have to stay in the south campus hostel and travel 1.5hrs daily.
Faculty: The teachers are good and helpful, but the attendance system has a 85% attendance requirement. Due to the travel time, there is barely any time left for self development. There is CIE and semester end exams which hold the same weightage. CIE is continuous internal evaluation which comprises of two mid semester tests and 2 quizzes.
Other: I chose this college as it seemed to be giving a better ROI than most of the other colleges in north but it's hard to live here and everyday would make you regret not studying more for your entrance exams. Many things can be improved such as introducing DSA in the 2nd semester itself along with not spoon feeding coding subjects to the students. There are absolutely no gracious and joyful fests, or events held, just some clubs begging you to join them by paying a fee.

Review of National Institute of Engineering, Mysore.
Placements: Placement is good; above 90% of students get placed in CSE. The average package of CSE is around 11 LPA, the highest package is 54 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are CISCO, VMWARE, INTUIT, IBM, Amazon, Google, SAP Labs and Microsoft. Internships start in the third year of college .
Infrastructure: There are two hostels at the college: one on the north campus and one on the south campus. On the south campus, there is only a triple-sharing room. Hostel food is average; mostly South Indian food will be served at dinner, like panner. There are various labs in the college, like the C lab and the MAT lab. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel and has a good spread.
Faculty: Teachers are average; most of them are helpful; some senior faculty have knowledge but they are rude. Junior faculty help students in various ways. Semester-end exams are not that hard; one can score good marks by studying 2-3 days prior to the exam. One needs to score 40 marks out of 100 to get a pass.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in CSE and coding. The crowds are good here because mostly students cleared entrance exams like COMEDK and KCET with decent rank.

If you have no other options to consider, then a college with decent placement.
Placements: About 90% of the students who apply for placement get placed. The average package is around 10 to 12 LPA in CSE and IT branches. The campus placement median is around 8 to 10 LPA. The major companies are JP Morgan and Fidelity. These also provide internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure was okay, the labs are good, and they have good Wi-Fi. The hostel condition is not at all good; you should consider joining nearby PGs. There are no sports facilities, only a few sports are there, but you can consider doing good in them for sure.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and have knowledge of their respective subjects. The course curriculum is totally relevant in CSE. The semester exams are easy in level. Questions are of moderate difficulty, and you can easily score 8 to 9 CGPA here.
Other: The only good thing about the college is its placement. There are no events or fests that are good, only one technical fest. Campus life is nothing here. The faculty members may provide relevant courses that can help in placement, not like a few useless subjects.
